Paul will appear at three caucus sites on Saturday. He is scheduled to appear at 8 a.m. in Sanford, at 10 a.m. in Lewiston and at 12:30 p.m. in New Gloucester.
Romney was scheduled to visit Portland for an event late Friday. His campaign announced early Friday afternoon that Romney also would appear at caucus sites at 8:50 a.m. in Sanford and at 10:15 a.m. in Portland.
the reason paul has been in TX is he feels it gives him the best chance to win. I hope it pays off tomorrow.
We can't realistically expect to go up against the entire establishment, fly up to some state, spend a day or two having a couple of rallies, and then have Ron hanging out in Lake Jackson, TX the whole week before the vote in some place like Maine.
And if we lose by a thin margin tomorrow, it'll only be further cemented. The campaign needs a kick in the arse from somewhere but either way, I've bet on my horse and I'm riding it to the finish line!
No Portland caucus stops for Paul. Isn't that where most of the remain votes are?
Here's the scoop.
The Portland caucus is only for Portland.
South Portland has a different caucus. Other towns in Cumberland County have different caucuses.
However, the Androscoggin County Caucus is for the entirely of Androscoggin County, which contains Lewiston. There are more people in Andro County than Portland City.
He's kicking our butts with retail politics in some of these caucus states. He spent 19 days in Iowa in the last month before the vote. 22 days in MN, MO, and CO. Conversely, our campaign went home part of the week of Iowa and you could ptrobably cont on one hand the number of days spent campaigning in the latest caucus states.
There are some folks on here that have been smoking something in terms of the progress in Maine. 436 total votes or less than 10% of the total votes that will be counted have been cast. Romney won Southern Maine BIG last time. He got 918 votes in just Cumberland County in '08. We get a few votes and eveybody thinks we've got it in the bag and Romney is terrified. Bullshit.
We're just pouring Gatorade on the coach before halftime while the other team is running down the field toward the end zone with the ball.
Meanwhile, the game is in Maine and our QB is in TX?![]()
