You like poll predictions, eh? Me? Not so much.

I do like this prediction though, not the depression part....

Denmark Bank predicts Ron Paul presidency, U.S. depression

Denmark based Saxo Bank predicts Ron Paul presidency in 2008. According to Pravda.Ru, the bank predicts Paul will be the next president and that the U.S. economy will plunge into a depression prior to the election.

Saxo Bank says the U.S. economy will shrink by 25% and the Chinese economy will decrease by 40%. The economic downturn will come about as a result of the housing crash.

Ron Paul has been critical of the Federal Reserve and has blamed the Federal Reserve for causing the real estate bubble and crash. Paul has said that the loose monetary policy of the Fed had artificially inflated real estate prices which lead to the collapse.

Paul supports ‘Sound Money’ and opposes the Federal Reserve’s ‘Inflation Tax’ and says that he wants to prevent a dollar collapse. On December 16th grass roots activists organized an online protest of the ‘Inflation Tax’ and donated a record 6 million dollars to Paul’s campaign in one day.

Paul now leads all Republicans in fundraising and is best positioned to win the GOP nomination. His campaign is already financed through Feb 5th when 22 states hold primaries.

Paul also advocates the elimination of federal income taxes and a non interventionist foreign policy and is an advocate of protecting the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution. Paul has maintained that U.S. foreign policy was bankrupting the country.

Saxo Bank also predicts $175 a barrel for oil and the price of grain will double. Some have predicted that oil will climb to $250 a barrel if the U.S. attacks Iran. The bank also predicts that 30% of large building companies will go bankrupt

I think the debate last night hurt more than helped.

The debate was a horrible moment for us. It's hard for a humble man of integrity to go into a den of vipers like that and expect not to get beat up a bit.

I don't know what you are talking about. The debate was great for Ron Paul last night. The person who talks the loudest is not the winner. Ron Paul creamed them all with common sense. He especially made Romney look like a fool with him saying Ron bought their propaganda when Ron was trying to explain to him why they are fighting us in Iraq. Most Americans will see Ron Paul is the one who is making sense here, not the idiot first strike war fanatics.

We went from 14 to 11% in one day. I think the debate last night hurt more than helped. I think we'll drop below double digits tomorrow.
One was a phone poll (and with those, RP has actually gone UP, not down. The other, the 14%, was a Rasmussen market poll, which tend to be more accurate. Note also, that the phone poll has a MoE of 3%. So no biggie.

Change is within the margin of error so it means nothing.

The great news is that RP is in a three way horse race for third place in the phone polls - and interestingly he peformed in Iowa right along the lines of the phone polls.

However, NH has a much greater percentage of Independents, and not many are going to vote for Huck or Ghoul or Fred.

I see this as VERY positive. CNN will replay the ABC debate the same time as the rigged Fox forum. RP has a statewide and nationwide town hall televised the same night on c-sapn and public TV AND he will be on Leno AGAIN the night before the primary. Methinks 20 times more New Hampshire residents will be watching Leno than the fascist Fox forum.

With all that said, below third will be disappointing. The concen is Obama taking too making Independents. I'll accept fourth, be very happy with third, and I'm through the roof with second.

I can't believe you guys are still saying "Fuck you Frank" after what we went through in Iowa

We can NO LONGER DISCOUNT THE POLLS

We must work VERY hard and act like we want to win this

I thought having the Democratic debate after the Republicans helped Ron alot! First we had all the Republicans except Ron defending the war and pretending that anyone who did not understand the need for war was a wacko and then the Democrats came out against the war saying the same thing as Ron. It showed me that the main stream republicans were the wacko's! (Of course I already knew that!)

NH TV is telling people that Guiliani is in third with 14 percent.

They just make up these numbers.

If you listen to NH tv, the only candidates are McCain and Obama.

Even Hilary is being given lip service there.

Ron Paul? Who's he?

We all thought the polls were bullshit before Iowa and we all predicted third. And it ends up we got the SAME numbers as the polls predicted (only slightly better)

I hoped that you guys would have learned your lessons

Yes but you might notice the Democrats are very fuzzy about how to get out of the war, and they're also talking about going into Pakistan now. They all speak with forked tongues, Obama included. I like Edwards the best of them, but he's getting pushed aside now by the media.

Ron Paul said on day one he would start bringing the troops home from Iraq. And, the next week, he would start bringing them home from around the world.

He is an incredible speaker!

I don't think they were counting on Rudy in a dress losing to Ron Paul in IOWA.

:D

Thats not true, at average of all the polls in iowa had him at 6.5 percent. He did much better.

SOME polls are close, some are WAY WAY off.

I'm completely serious, and I think you should start acting serious if you guys want Ron to win this thing.

We can't discount the polls. We have to overtake Huckabee, that's our MAIN goal right now.

The extra credit (defeating mccain) comes later

If you get overconfident, you become weak and our efforts wane. And then if our expectations aren't what we expect, we just give up

Expect 4th, half expect 3rd, and pray for 2nd.

Stop posting negativity... seriously...its just a poll...

a polls do is brainwash the populace prior to voting

Everyone wants to vote for a winner / some an underdog etc..

Post-voting polls are the only thing of any real significance:

please dont forget this and pass it along.

I'm not being NEGATIVE. Seriously, it pisses me off so badly when people call me a troll or call me negative when I try to be realistic, and then when our unrealistic expecations are crushed, people start flailing their arms and giving up.

We have to play this race like we are behind the pack, it makes us struggle and work harder. Do you realize how hard people are working now after the Iowa results? We can't just say "fuck the polls" and expect things to come to us.

We have to work our ASSES off. This isn't easy.

I'm not going to discount the polls because it's foolish to, both practically and psychologically

I know, that is what I said. "We will drop to single digits tomorrow because of debate performance".

Ron Paul did awesome. He was attacked by 5 ignorant bastards and most intelligent people saw that. I think most people are intelligent enough to know that Ron Paul was right.

As I see it we're in a dead heat with Huckabee who is only riding off his success in Iowa. But we have a stronger base here. Let's hope for 3rd. The only way we can help now is locally and calling and sending letters abroad. Go go go!

Exactly. The 11% figure results from an actual phone poll. The 14% from the other day was determined from a "prediction market".

Two different percentages that were derived from entirely different methods. That's all there is to it.... :)
