When he was asked how much of his own money he had spent so far. He BSed a little and said "I dont care about the voters".

I could not believe what I was hearing. He said something like:

"I don't care what the voters think, I care about the other candidates"

It came across as pretty awful to me.

i thought it was " i dont care about the votes..." not voters, but i could be wrong. i remember hearing that too and thinking it was odd to say something like that

To be fair to him, he was referring to the reason why he wouldn't give a specific $$ number of how much he himself had donated to his campaign. The reason he would not right then on stage was because of competition with those on the stage, and the voters didn't concern him in the reason, not that that makes sense to me but to put it more in context.

This wasn't a big deal. He explained it well. In fact, now I'm worried that he has been sandbagging us and is going to drop some huge fundraising number at the end of the month

Yeah, I understand he went on to clarify, but he said it and had to clarify.. it was a slip and he caught himeslf in it. Could have been worse though. Still, he said it, and it's obviously on his mind. And I believe it to be true.. He doesn't care about the voters, he cares about winning and having the position of power.

His proclamation that he doesn't care about the voters pretty much sums our whole political scene in the states. He is a CFR stooge, the well is deep.
