It's more than a win. Ron Paul is the only candidate that any Louisiana delegates will commit their vote to.
Repeat after me: Ron Paul won Louisiana.

Excuse me, but does he not still have to win 51% of the vote on primary day.
Otherwise the delegates are not committed to vote for him.
It could be Mevada all over again. Remember Hillary and Romney both got "EXACTLY" 51% by some strange method or manipulation, so they are guaranteed all the delegates on the first ballot.
Do NOT quit yet, it is not yet over in Lousiana until Dr. Paul gets the majority. Romney and McCain will be bussing in voters to steal the win!!

Look, this is nice and all, but give me a link from a credible source (Even Ron Paul 2008!) that says: RP has more votes than any other candidate in Louisiana. I'll settle for wikitruth, if I can reference it, it is true. If I need to do legwork to prove it, it is not.
Ron Paul didn't win Louisiana. To be fair, nobody has won Louisiana.
Basically, because the republican party apparently can't do anything simply, what happens is this. On 22 January, the party held district caucuses for delegates for the state convention.
On 9 February, the people will vote, and if anyone gets over 50% of the vote, then all 20 delegates are bound to the winner.
On 16 February , the state convention will determine:
1. If the 20 delegates (At large) are to be bound to anyone based on preference at the Feb 9 vote.
2. If the 21 delegates from the 7 districts (3 each) are to be bound based on preference at the Feb 9 vote.
3. Three at large delegates, and if they are to be bound based on preference of the Feb 9 vote
4. Who those 44 delegates are. The party leadership then adds in three more delegates.
So, nothing has been done in LA. Nothing at all, really. The entire damn caucus thing seems to really be a waste.

It isn't resolved yet. Right now, what they would report would be that we got beat by the pro-life pro-family slate. Wait until the provisional ballots are counted. Depending on how things come out, that will be the time to make whatever hay we can out of Louisiana.

I also have heard everyone bitching about the "Pro/Life" thing yet have seen ZERO, NADDA, ZILTCH of proof it was a effort of the other campaigns.

No. NO candidate got more than any other candidate, since candidates weren't being chosen. Nothing binds the people who were elected as delegates to vote for ANY candidate in the state convention.
No. The other candidates didn't do anything through some backwards law. They legitimately ran a set of delegate candidates on a joined slate called "Pro Family/Pro Life".
The delegates are now elected to attend the state convention on February 16th where they will select the 44 delegates to the national convention.
They are not currently bound by any law or GOP rule to any candidate. If a candidate gets over 50% of the vote on Feb 9, then 20 National Candidates would be bound to that candidate.
