Recount Results

Maybe the grassroots need to demand (and pay) for a recount in every state. That was we all know for sure how accurate/inaccurate the machines are.

It's pretty hard to argue with the truth.

This makes no sence. It looks like the democrat:republican ratio is around 100:1

I dont believe it for a second.

For example, in the first ward about 3500 votes were cast for dems, and only 45 for republicans. What the hell???

That would be because most of the country is sick of the Republican bullshit.

operatives working on Howard to only do a partial recount.

That's an interesting article from op/ed. He is saying that it's possible to rigg the election demographically. That is if you know what areas of the state are likely to vote for the other candidate, you shave off tiny amounts of the vote in those areas. For this reason, you need to recount the entire state, which he says is never done in New Hampshire.

I'm pretty sure Mr. Howard will stand firm, and we have already paid the money to recount the entire state, but pressure has to be put on Dennis to recount the entire state. We need to contact Dennis's campaign and ask him to put a recount contribution place on his website and a counter so we know how much money he has collected for the recount and how much more he needs.

Even if RP doesn't pick up much from a recount, doesn't a large amount of small count errors illustrate a large problem with counting ballots in out country??

I would say so, how hard is it to count? Shit I have been counting since I was 3 years old and I don't even have to use my fingers anymore.

Looking at the latest McCain statistics makes for fairly interesting reading:

(| Ward | Original Tally | Recount Tally | Difference |)

1 | 12 | 16 | +4
2 | 10 | 11 | +1
3 | 5 | 5 | 0
4 | 9 | 8 | -1
5 UNFINISHED
6 | 12 | 13 | +1
7 UNFINISHED
8 | 19 | 24 | +5
9 | 23 | 23 | 0
10 | 11 | 12 | +1
11 | 5 | 12 | +7
12 UNFINISHED

So, the % changes of a few of these wards look more than a little interesting

e.g.:

Ward 1: +33%
Ward 2: +10%
Ward 8: +26%
Ward 11: +140%

Anybody a little alarmed yet?

Imagine if ALL of the votes were this far out? Could ANYBODY claim with their hand on their heart that the election was free and fair?

Not only that but where exactly are all of the EXTRA votes coming from? Again, a good example of this is Ward 11 where Ron Paul gained 4 votes (300% increase!), John McCain gained 7 votes (140% increase) and yet, with the exception of Romney's loss of two votes, everybody counted so far is the same!

So, at this moment in time, there are currently 11 more votes than there were previously reported and only 2 less.

Did these 9 people appear out of thin air? Why was there a bunch of votes missing for the runaway winner as well as what should have been "the runaway challenger"?

Questions, questions already and we haven't even finished counting the votes for ONE COUNTY!

Seriously, how do the people of Ward 11 not look in a mirror and shoot themselves for their unbelievable incompetence or outrageous election rigging?

One of these must be true, no?

I predict the recount will reveal that Romney was the beneficiary of the "miscounts" in his backyard. Remember Boston is minutes away from NH.

Could some of the problem involve spoiled ballots? For example, if a voter makes a mistake and fills in the circle for two different candidates. Would that represent scatter? In such cases, maybe the voter wrote a note next to the circle they really wanted to count, so, their true preference would be known if the count is by hand, but ambigious by machine?

That would be the most benevolent explanation of the large disparity.

I would highly recommend Dennis have the Plymouth area recounted, he had 20+ yard signs in this area and less votes than that

lemmie guess..... the NH election was a joke on the american public and the world at large, as well as the notion of "a fair election"?

after all this will they say "IM JUST KIDDING" and put out the real acurate vote? lol it makes me want to vomit blood.

We can send a man to the moon but we can't count. America is in a sad state if we can't trust our votes to be counted.

This is deeply saddening that it is even off by 1 number.

the kids at the drive thru burger joint are better at zeroing their cash registers than these numbskulls!

if you put the election in the hands of 7 year olds, the results would be more accurate.

Do they only have one person counting the votes now? I can't understand how it is taking so long to count them.

Seems one person counting for each precinct and then a second to double check the first and all of them would be done by now.

doesn't seem like updating that webpage is a priority for them, hasn't changed at all since the link was first posted today. Is there any news about whats going on from someone actually there?

This is amazingly flawed. Why not just count everything by hand and save us the machine flaws?

SC uses touch screens that have no paper trail. I here one of the state reps is trying to introduce a bill though to have a paper trail added before the vote Saturday.

That election needs to be held up until they can bring in paper ballots.

Anybody notice that Manchester Ward 12 looks as if it was never counted on the Republican side. Everybody has a - for their previous total and then the recount it has a number. THis means they didnt originally count this, Correct?
