Rand Paul: "Proud to sign a resolution welcoming Netanyahu to Congress"

I'd like to see a world without nuclear weapons one day. Allowing Iran to obtain even one doesn't exactly help achieve that goal.

The only thing keeping Iran intact is their nuclear program.

Money > ingenuity? Tell that to the Mujahideen. So you're telling me that the Palestinians are essentially as smart as goats? (And the ad hominems aren't adding anything to the colorful discussion but I'll tolerate them nonetheless)

(how many have god's chosen people obtained?...how many more will they be obtaining?)...
If Iran obtains nukes, three words: nuclear arms race

In what place? Israel is the foot in the door.

You want to know who else is Jewish? Most of the major thinkers in this movement. Milton Friedman, Ludwig Von Mises, Rothbard, and Walter Block are Jewish. And they are prominent because of their ideas. It isn't some giant conspiracy. You are a disgrace. You are why people call this movement racist. And you are a racist.

The anti-Jewish and anti-Israel sentiment is despicable. And I see Ahmadinejad equated to Netanyahu? Ahmadinejad is a Holocaust denier for crying out loud. There is a big difference between Iran and Israel.

It is one thing to support a non-interventionist foreign policy. It is also one thing to not have a whole lot of love for Israel (I tend not to support a country that embraces Marxism like they do.) It is quite another to support countries like Iran and support the Palestinians. I must have missed where those countries are libertarian heaven. I haven't heard of too many Palestinians carrying around copies of Human Action.

I wish Rand would just come out and say he isn't a zionist.

Why would he want to do that? You can be a zionist without believing that we should start wars on Israel's behalf. I'm a zionist and believe that our foreign policy has greatly harmed Israel. Our interventionist foreign policy has brought all kinds of blow back against Israel.

I'm not a zionist but I can support an ally, I'm not completely sure if supporting an ally though equates to what some are alluding or suggesting should take place either with Iran or Israel. I don't wish to exert any organized collective force on any jew so please dispel me from any racism/anti-semitism, but it's still very shaky territory for Rand or any potential Presidential candidate to be in. If Standing with Israel means *fighting for* Israel then count me out.

Man, Rand already has over 27,000 "likes" for his Facebook comment. That's way more "likes" than anything else has on his page. I guess Rand is going to have to keep putting statements like that out if he wants to have any chance to win the GOP nomination. Fool the low information voters.

So maybe the "Rand is a neocon" stuff can stop now?

https://www.facebook.com/SenatorRandPaul/posts/923193761066761

Excuse me - am I somehow missing the irony smiley at the end of your post? Rand Paul signs on to co-sponsor a bill by Neocon Inc.:

... Last Friday, Senator Corker and Senators Robert Menendez (D-N.J.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), and Tim Kaine (D-Va.) introduced The Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act of 2015. The legislation mandates the president submit the text of any agreement to Congress and prohibits the administration from suspending congressional sanctions for 60 days. During that period, Congress would have the opportunity to hold hearings and approve, disapprove or take no action on the agreement. The bill is also cosponsored by Senators John McCain (R-Ariz.), Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.), Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.), Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), Jim Risch (R-Idaho), and Angus King (I-Maine).

... and somehow this is supposed to stop the "Rand is a neocon" stuff?
