People have forgotten their anger over financial crisis, bailouts!

Rand needs to bring up how the financial crisis went down in 2008, and remind people about the anger we had over the bailouts and "stimulus" which aided people like Trump, and hurt ordinary citizens. Certainly, anger over bailouts was more intense, than the anger felt over the lack of border security! (Would anyone disagree?) It's an issue that had us all calling and emailing our reps and drove the tea party. I've begun to believe people have forgotten!

If Rand can just spell out exactly how Trump benefited from the bailouts - it might go a long way in proving how establishment Trump really is.

I know Trump filed for bankruptcy on his businesses four times, and I believe the last time was in 2009. Can Rand draw a clear, understandable, correlation between how the bailout and current law, made it possible for Trump to file multiple bankruptcies and still "win"? I mean, it had no negative impact on his reputation, and he never lost one penny of his own personnel wealth! He's maintained the lifestyle he was always accustomed to. Not so for us! The rest of us lost jobs, businesses, homes, and accepting low-paying jobs has became a fact of life! All we got was the bill to cover the scheme that saved the fortunes and luxuriant lifestyles of wealthy people like Trump and his banker pals.

Trump has been buddying up with Jeff Sessions over illegal aliens, but I believe Sessions was strongly against the bailouts, so how can Sessions ever support Trump, as some in the media (breitbart) seem to be implying? Maybe Rand should ask Trump how Sessions likes his support of bailouts?

This. Fiorina is nothing more than a "splitter" in the GOPe's ELECT JEB game plan - the same goes for every other candidate except Rand, Cruz and Carson (though Carson is now being used as a splitter by the GOPe too, having bested Huckabee with SoCons).

I love Rand, but attacking Trump in the first debate and beyond was - strategically - the wrong move imo. Continuing to do so has/is only making the error worse.

No rand isn't soaring in the polls but you guys keep saying it is because he attacked trump. Rands poll numbers were in the dump before. As I pointed out in another thread there is just as much evidence that it was his attack on Christie. Rand dived off his all time high in 2013 at the time he had his big fights with Christie.
You said it Trump is horrible on foreign policy but NOT to the GOP electorate. Now combine that with his WILL bomb Iran and ISIS attitude to hell with the consiquences and you have the making of a climb in the polls. Immigration plays a part but it is NOT as proved by many issue polls I have posted, the most important issue to Republicans. Guess what, Foreign policy it almost always the MOST important issue with republican voters.

Don't forget he wants troops one the ground in Iraq now. Don't forget he supported the Libyan war. Trump also wants a war with China. That is just it Trump will launch a war and fuck anybody that will stop him. He is a strong leader that doesn't take any guff and will do what it take to win even if it involves nukes. THAT IS WHY HE IS APEALING. His police state against illegal gave him a bump in the beginning but it is his kick the worlds ass and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN that is substaining him. That takes us right back full circle that the republican electorate is in a WAR mood. Rand doesn't match that.
