I'm not gonna vote for him, of course, but he congratulated both Frothy AND Ron Paul for a well run campaign in Iowa and looks forward to NH.

Yes, I know it was politically motivated, blah blah blah BUT,

I appreciate that he tipped his hat to Ron Paul (and us) for what we accomplished in Iowa.

I don't like him but he has a bit more class than some of the others... Ron Paul agrees.

Mitt is essentially the George H.W. Bush of this election... Paul is the Reagan or Goldwater...

Yea I noticed he made it a point to mention Paul twice. Once when he said Paul ran a great campaign and second when he said "All three of us will move on to NH and.. blah blah blah"

Mitt and Perry both have won me over somewhat recently. I would never vote for either, but I certainly do not hate them anymore.

Please remember that every word that comes out of Mitt Romney's mouth is calculated bullshit. Look at the stuff he said in 2008 (and before). There's a reason he's known as a flip-flopper. He's only trying to appease us because he isn't stupid enough to think he could win without us. And I would never, ever vote for him. There would be no real change between him and Obama, and anyone who thinks differently is still living with one foot in sheeple/fantasy land.

Look at it from Romney's perspective. He considers the nomination all but wrapped up and he's the winner. He knows that he needs Paul's supporters (if he had any doubts, tonight killed them) to win in the general election. He's trying to keep us in the fold.

Gingrich, Santorum and Huntsman are doing everything they can to push us out, however.

It scares me some of you guys are buying his bullshit. Mitt Romney doesn't give a damn about anybody but Mitt Romney. He would tell you whatever you wanted to hear for you to elect him. He would say "Ron Paul is a modern day founding father" if that's what it took. Don't eat his LIES. Please, guys.

Yeah, I don't hate them as people like pretty much all the other candidates. In that respect I like Rick Perry more because he actually comes off as more sincere and he seems like a fun dude to get drunk with. I have difficulty hating Romney simply for the fact that I have seen him in politics for years and have no idea what the hell he stands for on anything. Romney is a pretty much a empty shell. It's hard to get mad at just a body.

I'll never vote for that soulless, slime-dripping, neocon scumbag. But yeah, it was a nice gesture on his part.

No ones buying it.

Mitt Romney is very good at saying what is popular while remaining properly composed and civil. That is his entire strategy, and it applies to interactions regarding other candidates in the media. At least he is intelligent enough to remember to say what's opportune (unlike Newt), so I suppose you could give him props for that. Romney and Obama are both good at the sales role unfortunately

Mitt is going to rip apart Santorum now. Iowa was nothin to Mitt. He knew he didnt have to do a whole lot and he would get a top 3 finish. With his huge warchest and probably what the establishment feels will be the deciding votes in NH and SC, he will attempt to wipe out everyone in the field now and save the cash on future state battles to fight Obama.

After all the crap that came from Santorum directed right at Paul with that cocky smirking attitude, you don't hate him anymore? priorities man.

Please dont buy this utter bullshit. Please !!

Mitt's whole political career is based around being a pandering, slithering snake. Take your fake 'gesture' and shove it up your ass. You are no different then Obama.

Ha, yeah that pretty much sums up my feelings about Mitt. I don't hate the guy or even dislike him. I really just feel indifferent about him. He really goes out of his way to just be the candidate that you just feel apathetic about. The weird thing is that, in the end, that may turn out to be the winning strategy for him.
