President George W. Bush, on Tonight Show with Jay Leno Avoids Iraq War

I don't think he's as evil as people are making him out to be. I truly think he loved/loves this Country and respected the hell out of the Office in which he held.

I think he was used, but he allowed himself to be used. I don't think he was intelligent enough (and/or sober enough) to pull off the evil deeds that were enacted during his administration, but he's still responsible for the fact that they were done.

With something this large scale, and with this many people involved, it gets kind of tricky.

First of all, in 2000, Bush was telling people he'd actually roll back on the foreign policy front, so they didn't vote for him knowing he'd commit murder (Well, maybe some did, but most didn't.)

Second of all, as Cajun says, a lot of people are ignorant.

And then there's "Lesser of evils" and all that jazz.

So, its complicated, and to some extent it depends on what you know. But I could never encourage someone to vote for someone like that. If someone came to me and felt guilty that they voted for Bush, I wouldn't try to make them feel better about it. I'd encourage them to do different next time.

Also, if I vote for Rand am I a thief? Since taxation is theft and Rand isn't trying to abolish ALL taxes? I don't think so.

By 2004, everyone knew about the War in Iraq and that Bush basically wanted to keep us there indefinitely, so it doesn't really seem like people should've been confused about his foreign policy views by that time. And, I'm a Rand Paul supporter, but by your standards even Rand is a "murderer," since he supports sanctions. Sanctions cause starvation in other countries. By your standards, the only current politicians who aren't murderers are probably Amash and Massie, since neither one of them have voted for any wars or any of the crippling sanctions.

That's a really unethical statement that implies a restriction in freedom of speech and worse, the responsibility of gross actions against others, when one is simply disagreeing.

So much for liberty, eh.

I don't think you should get thrown in prison for your disgusting and unclassy rhetoric, but you should certainly be called out for it. That's part of my freedom of speech.

And no, you aren't simply "disagreeing." I disagree with Bush and have called him a terrible President. But saying that Bush was a mass murderer just as evil as Adolf Hitler is definitely not just "disagreeing."

I haven't noticed anyone holding back when it comes to criticism of Obama (and that's as it should be).

Am I wrong or are those here who are expressing their love for GW and his hokey-murdery ass the same fellows who lose their shit if someone else here expressed that they hope that folks like Chris Dorner got the best of the cops?

Killing millions of innocent civilians is classy

Killing cops isn't

I certainly haven't. I said that both Bush and Obama were/are terrible Presidents earlier in the thread. You confuse a lack of hatred for "love."

"I" didn't say any of those things. I said he was a POS. :)

And I never compare anyone to Hitler- he's become the golden boy of evil, while our WWII Ally, Stalin made Hitler look like an amateur.
