I agree with the statement highlighted in bold in the below post.

Additionally this Trevor guy holds the list so he can do what he wants with it. I can see that he's just trying to promote RP. to send an e-mail to all of the people will help the campaign it's that simple.

I agree with you full-heartedly. Trevor's a great guy who's been under a lot of stress, and he just wants, like all of us, for Ron Paul to win NH and Iowa and Nevada and so on (he even moved back to New Hampshire--something I logistically can not do, but would love to). I just think in the future, it would be slightly more tactful to ask for people's opinions about something (the people that help promote the effort with thousands of hours of their time) before going live with it without their input and suggestions. Because, as we all know, the combined grassroots effort is what has driven this campaign forward, not the decisions of a single group or individual (unlike the traditional campaigns).

In any case, what's done is done. I just wish he would listen to 75% of the people and either not send out anymore e-mails about non-TeaParty things until after December 16th, or at least discuss any decision like that with people first.

About what part?

Look, if it's about the petition, 75% of the people agree with it. If you think what I proposed is "being a jerk," don't say "Rob's a jerk," say "75% of Ron Paul supporters are jerks." I just offered the idea, but it was on many people's minds.
This poll is meaningless, to use your earlier logic that the emails Trevor received were too small of a sample. Come back with a poll of all the email subscribers, and then, and only then, will polling be any kind of talking point.

Secondly, there are unsubscribe links. Anyone who doesn't want 11/30 promoted to them, can unsubscribe. You have no right, even with a 99.9% majority, to insist that the one person who wants 11/30 and 12/16 updates should not be able to receive them. This is what I am talking about when I say you have no appreciation for the free market, or property rights. The majority should not be making market decisions for others, if they did, we'd live in a communist country, because the loudest people are usually the ones obsessed with self interest.

I'm not trying to undermine anyone, just make sure Trevor doesn't send out anymore e-mails that piss people off and/or detriment the effort. The only reason this petition is targeted at him is because he has control of it.
They can unsubscribe. It's very simple. Let the market speak. You have no more control of what goes out in the emails than I do, which is zero. If you don't like it, support your own site and grow it your way. Don't try to co-opt a private effort as your own, or nationalize it for the majority. Freedom doesn't work like that.

A non-computer savvy friend of mine e-mailed me about unsubscribing. The unsubscribe link is way at the bottom in small text, and most people, I surmise, don't see it. Are you saying the official campaign should also send out stuff that they haven't thought through because "people can unsubscribe"? That's ridiculous. If they unbsubscribe, they are less likely to donate, because (1) they unsubscribed, (2) they might forget.

Great point. Maybe you should start a forum poll so you can tell Jonathan Bydlak how to do his job as well.

Maybe some polls on how Dr. Paul answers questions, and we can call the campaign office and harangue them into giving him our ultimatums, because after all, the Revolution is about us, right? There is no revolution unless we vote and donate, and we can hold that over his head until he does what 66% or 75% of the forum says.

Get real.

So...did you just...agree with me?

I don't think it should be generalized as "non-TeaParty stuff". I think it should specifically be the November 30th bomb. But don't make a petition about it, just don't agree to do it.

What we need is sustained attention in the news.
- Mr. Bydlak

What he apparently hasn't noticed, is that Ron isn't getting any attention in the news, and only gets attention when he gets money. So he gets attention on December 16th, or whenever the fourth quarter ends. November 30th is too soon, and the campaign isn't being as honest as they used to about the fundraising.

I don't mind getting a daily e-mail, but now I'm getting two: one from November 5th and the other from TeaParty. It's kind of ridiculous, because I'm not sure which one to unsubscribe to.

well to beging with this is all the campaigns fault.
for not being clear. That email we got made it seemed like the Dec 16 could cost us the primaries, now I know thats not true, but it sure came out like that

Arrogance aside let the poll talk

Arrogance is trying somebody else's website. It isn't majority rule, it isn't a democracy, it isn't a representative republic. It's Trevor's site, alone. Opt out if you're tired of the emails.

I think he's awesome.

If you read most of the grassroots forum, they are pouring money into all kinds of things, in several states.

Did you see that huge mailer they sent out in Nevada? Or that they have opened 4 offices this Q? Or that they are phone banking, lit dropping and apparently they hired professional ballot petitioners to help out at least one state?

The campaign is spending the money, which is why it is so frustrating to people here dictate that they shouldn't get a significant amount for another 3 weeks.

The time is now. The man has met the hour, and that man is RON PAUL!

If the campaign told us exactly how much they need and how soon, it would cause a lot less panic and confusion for us, since we'd know exactly what to get them, and then back to the 16th it is.

Trevor and Rob are both awesome. Both are working very hard for this as are alot of other people.

Perhaps we should just get out of this pissing contest before it escalates. This is one time no one should do anything to jeapardize Dec 16th and the mini-bomb. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much is at stake now.

Rob...Trevor........you both rock. If need be, how about taking this to the chat room and working it out. Your both giving me gray hairs .

They have the FEC to think about. You are not an official staffer or fund raiser.

You already know my thoughts on this, call Jonathan on Monday and get straight answers for yourself. Don't play guessing games with the campaign. If we starve the campaign for cash by obsessing about the money bomb, it will be a really bad thing. It's best to make decisions based on facts, not primal instincts.

I agree he owns the site, but on the site it does say "This event is a grassroots effort", not Trevor's effort.

Trevor is ignoring all private communication by me.

Just let this go Rob. I don't know you but this is just retarded man. It's very easy to see that your jealous and trying to take over.

Start your own thing....or maybe you already have. I can tell by your character you've probably done a lot for MR. Paul. We all have.

Now move on to bigger and better things and, if there is something else that you're working on in addition to the tea party...let me know if I can help.

What do you think about the blimp idea?

Rob....pay this guy no nevermind. He hasn't earned his stripes yet to have an opinion on this. LOL
