Paul/Ventura '08 Ticket: Ultimate October Surprise (Please Sign the Petition and Bump

Has this movement been reduced to a small bunch of maniacal dreamers? This kind of nonsense should really be brought down to a minimum if we know what's good for the freedom movement.
yeah - it's literally impossible to get ballot access now

I wouldn't want Ventura on the ticket anyway. He's doesn't have the ideological background that Paul has. He dislikes originalists judges and he doesn't respect the law either.

The freedom movement should welcome everyone who can contribute... Ventura can contribute in a big way. You may disagree with him on some issues but you cannot argue fact that he would restore the constitution. At the rate at which civil liberties are being eroded you need actionable people - he is one.

Picking and choosing who's in and who is out is divisive - as long as they are sound mind and body, not to mention seeking to restore the constitution, they are OK in my book.

A Paul / Ventura ticket is not unbelievable... heck, Ron Paul at one time was considered this way and look what came of it.

Could anyone really be dumb enough to believe this could happen? RP isnt going to run third party, Im so friggin' sick of people bringing this up over and over again. Enough already. What a waste of time, another useless online petition that will accomplish nothing...

I think he'd be much happier with us selling out the Target Center at this point.

Ventura is anti-Constitution.

I've hear him in interviews bashing originalist and constructionalist judges because he thinks civil liberties are more important than the Constitution.

His view of a good judge is one who doesn't even look at the Constitution but basically lets people do whatever they want regardless of the law.

Sorry that was a big turnoff for me. Well that and his attacking people who want a secure border as racist thugs and his antics towards climbing to the other side.

If he brings more people into the stadium and helps us mobilize, that's fine.

But as far as him being a leader of the movement, I don't think he's qualified at all.

That's why he's VP

Barr steps down from the Libertarian ticket, and is replaced with Paul for Pres, Ventura VP and Barr as Sec of State. Ventura agrees to join Dr. Paul on the republican ticket as VP and if they win in four years they cultivate the Campaign for Liberty as a third party run for 2012 with Ventura as Pres. Ventura will give in to the Rep VP Ticket for the chance to polorize the Campaign for Liberty as a vehicle for a 3rd party force in four years and they will be able to change the foundation of the country through a new republican party (2008-2012). Politics sure make for strange bed fellows. e pluribus unum!

I hope so, that is the reason why I never supported that neocon Barr in the first place.

Paul and Ventura ticket would bring the house down.

he might have some stupid brow raising antics like likening a border fence to nazi germany, sure, but he is 95% better than most politicians, and he would be great publicity for the movement. Paul/Ventura 08 :D

Bob Barr does not deserve any public office after voting for the war in Iraq, voting for the Patriot Act, and sending thousands of innocent non-violent drug users to prison!

would you rather him still be a drug warrior fighting for the war in iraq to continue and investigate all potential "terrorists".

Personally i'm glad bob barr has come around, although his record makes me not trust him as much as someone like Paul, i still believe he is a step in the right direction as opposed to Obama, or Mccain.

Ventura/Paul 08 though, oh man.

What a freaking dream that'd be.

I support Ventura for 2012. We need to let people understand Obama is just a fraud. Telling them isn't enough, they have to see it for themselves. Then out of frustration and some luck they may pick Ventura.

I would Love it... my wife mentioned this yesterday.... then I come here and it is done... mmmm great1111

As awesome as this would be if it worked, and as much as I and everyone else wants to see President Paul be inaugurated in 2009, this is probably one of the most unrealistic ideas in this campaign thus far.

Aside from the obvious roadblock of no ballot access, the media would not legitimize their run with anything more than the degree of coverage Paul received in the Republican primary. They have for all intents and purposes backed Barack and this will not change. Especially in October, the late date of which is another impossible hurdle to overcome. Lastly, assuming Paul/Ventura loses (a lot more plausible than assuming they win) the CFL will be de-valued, the message watered down, and the man will look like nothing more than a sore loser, a radical. And we'll have to include Ventura in a great capacity in the CFL, and who the hell wants that.
