The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in New Hampshire shows John McCain leading Mitt Romney by five percentage points. It’s McCain 31% Romney 26%. The survey was conducted Friday night, the night following the Iowa caucuses.
--snip--
Ron Paul earns 14% of the vote and Mike Huckabee gets 11% as the only other candidates in double digits. Rudy Giuliani attracts 8% of the vote, Fred Thompson 5%, some other candidate 2%, and 3% are not sure.
--snip--
The Republican race remains fluid as nearly a third of GOP voters say they could still change their mind. Sixty-four percent (64%) of McCain’s voters say they are “certain” they will vote for him. Sixty-two percent (62%) of Romney supporters are that certain along with 83% of Ron Paul voters and 66% for Mike Huckabee

meh, 64 percent of people are certain to vote for a sellout named McCain.

McCain is much more respectable than you all give him credit for. I was proudly a McCain supporter before a candidate like Paul rose up. If for any reason Paul drops out, I'd go right back to McCain. McCain's pro-war stance is vastly different from the rest of the Republicans, in the same sense that Paul's anti-war stance is so different from the Democrats. I'd go into it more, but I'd urge you to listen to him talk, and look into him before you throw him off as some generic neocon like Giuliani or Romney.

In fact, I would be glad to see McCain somewhere in Ron's cabinet...

Nice.

The higher his polling numbers, the more "I will only vote for a winner" people might decide to vote for him.

If Mccain was himself like last time he'd own these elections

but he's been pandering to the base after the immigration debacle and has become a shawdow of his former self

McCain's 100 years Iraqi war comment, pro-war stance, position that the war needs to be won because the troops want to win the war (B.S., btw), and his statement that he came to washington to change washington but washington changed him really turned me off against him as a presidential candidate.

Otherwise, he's mostly okay.

I like mccain as a person but not a politican

anyway I hope Ron does get 3rd or better in nh!

McCain

Hell would have to freeze over before I would ever vote for that man.

Let's hope the polls are wrong in this one, and that Paul can come in 1st or 2nd. Then people will start to believe that he has a chance. 3rd would be OK, and it is essential he get at least 3rd, but 1st or 2nd is what is really needed at this point, given the amount of time and money they have invested in New Hampshire. Let's hope the independents and cross-over democrats bump him higher than what the current polls show.

Does anyone remember what Pat Buchanan polled at before he won New Hampshire the year he ran against Bush? My guess is he was not polling 1st....

The same as in Iowa.
One week before the primary/caucus, Paul rises dramatically in polls.

In my mind that's an evidence the polls were rigged before.
The same happens in other countries, too.

But of course - it's great to see him in double digits.

I think we have a lot of room to be optimistic now that 3rd is a lock, now we need to push to diminish the romney and mccain vote if we can get them down 3-5 points each we can pull out swing suprise

Romney performed below poll in Iowa which I expect will happen again, Mccain I think will drop if the video of 100 years spreads fast enough

The liberty breakfast tomrrow will help a lot

Pray God the Independents come out in full force for Ron Paul in New Hampshire!

If New Hampshire is really anti war and for the Constitution, they need to send a message to the world!

Agreed! I wonder if the campaign will make this an issue? But I think their strategy is to not attack anyone, and stay positive. So the grassroots movement needs to take this up.

The other thing that can help, especially in the primaries to follow, is a massive boycott of the Fox debate on TV, hitting them where it hurts the most in ratings and sending a message to their advertisers. The fact that Paul is now 3rd in the polls in NH is already going to hurt them. If Paul can pull out a win or 2nd, the story about the Fox exclusion alone could generate a ton of press coverage from their competitors. Fox is really doing the campaign a favor in this...

McCain Amnesty, Lobbyist, & War Machine

McCain is bought and paid for by the K Street Krooks... just ask his partner in Crime LIEBERMAN.

These polls just show you the amount of IGNORANCE and lack of COMPREHENSION in this country.

Then again... a lot has to do with Campaign Management and Marketing.

RP should have Kathleen Hall Jamieson running his campaign.

14% means 14% is the floor.

Paul never goes down when he has support.

When you go Paul, you don't go back.

Would you really want to be plugged back into the Matrix after you are thinking for yourself?

"When you go Paul, you don't go back"

There's nowhere else to go!

Great campaign slogan.
