Official CNN Tea Party Express Debate Thread

Punching down is never a good idea.

At some point we gotta start knocking these other time-wasting candidates out of the picture. The pure concealment going on with both the media and the candidates of Cain's past really bugs me.

Interesting that no candidates, RP included, ever call out Cain for the one BIG job he never mentions. His career at the St Louis FEDERAL RESERVE BANK.

you are right but not really sure how attacking him would benefit Ron Paul or anyone else.

So far, so good. The national security bit coming up sounds like it has scripted anwsers prepped.

Why does he continue with this compassionate garbage on national TV? If a casual observer not familiar with Ron Paul caught this debate, they would be led to believe that we could just wave a magic wand, end the overseas operation and voila!!! debt problem solved!!!! This is entirely disingenuous and beneath Ron Paul's reputation. I'm sorry I gotta call it like it is. You save a little over 1 trillion dollars by eliminating the foreign defense apparatus, but you're still running annual deficits in excess of 600 billion dollars. Ummm earth to Ron.

He clearly said in the debate that he would close down a number of federal departments.

It's pretty cool how they're showing what's going on during the break across the bottom. I've never seen that before. I saw Wolf and Ron shake hands.

Newt made a great point but not strongly enough. "Government doesn't create jobs." That kind of talk about politicians creating jobs shouldn't be allowed in this country. The people should shout down any politician who starts talking about creating jobs. The governors might as well talk about how they grew the crops in their states while they were in office.

Repeat after me, America: "Government doesn't create jobs-- EVER."

You are letting your imagination rule what you see right now. You are just going to have to trust me on that. What you are describing is not even remotely like what is coming from Ron Paul.

Call to "ignore" officially seconded. :)

Dont forget we were in that boat not so long ago.
