Official CNN Tea Party Express Debate Thread

5 to 10 percent??? You honestly think he'll poll at sub 5% because of one answer that angered a dozen people?

Not one answer. A series of gaffes throughout this cycle. At minimum, Ron should be in the high teens given this environment, but then he talks like Noam freaking Chomsky instead of Pat Buchanan in regard to foreign policy.

Is this how we protect the border, or what Rick Perry will add to the White House?

No, Rick Perry would bring in his entire collection of BDSM transsexual porn, with at least half of his kinky leather collection, I'm sure.

This is the kind of guy that loves dominatrixes.

I adore Ron Paul, but he frustrates the hell out of me with clumsy if not self-destructive messaging. He's pissed away easily 5 to 10 percent with poor framing of issues. You can be a principled non-interventionist without blowing your toes off.

if he repeated what he said to Rudy Giuliani back in 2008, verbatim, word-per-word, then I'm sure the reactions would've been a lot better.

what he told Giuliani back then sounded way better than what he said just now.

A series of gaffes? Then why has polling been increasing? Why has support been increasing?

Who's going to say, 'Man, Ron has been screwing up and this was the last straw" and the bottom fall out?

This crowd is not awake. This crowd has not suffered enough. See, this crowd is just like my family - happy little sheep that are content with shuffling the shit around every few years.

I don't give a damn if Paul got crickets from folks that are incapable of understanding. If it's bad press, it will just start a conversation among sheep - and a few more will wake up.

It's possible to see this as a good thing.

Now, THATS how you frame an issue, my friend.

Erickson is on the air saying Paul wanted some guy to die.

A hole.
"I don't think that Ron Paul answer on the question of letting the guy die played as well in the hall as some think. I didn't hear the applause as loudly as many."

Yep, totally mischaracterized what was said.

You're either drunk or terrible at the obvious. He was clearly implying we would be polling at 20% or higher if Ron was clearer and more concise with his message.

Regarding Santorum and his ilk: Those who want to give the Federal ever-greater powers in order to "protect" us from radical muslims are like a guy who invites a serial killer to move in with him to protect him from potential burglars.

And the reason the guy fears burglars is because the serial killer persuaded him that they were a threat.

Actually I felt he characterized it exactly how Wolf Blitzer intended it.

Remember that a lot of the boo-ers were Glenn Beck 9/12ers.

The audience was rude and deceptive!
