Obama said he would have all troops out of Iraq by today

Do we have a credible source number on how many troops are still there?

Here's a story which puts our troops and contractors in Iraq and Afghanistan around 400K
htxp://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/22/AR2011022205739_2.html

By the end of the 2010 budget year, there were nearly 200,000 contractor employees working in Afghanistan and Iraq compared to 202,100 U.S. military personnel, according to the commission.

You guys need to "Lawyer Up"... Barry said Combat Troops and Combat Brigades... Not Training Troops or Green Zone Troops, or Oil Fields Troops, or Embassy Troops, or Training Troops/Forces or even a shit load of hired mercenaries.

These Slimeball Establishment Hacks will use Semantics Sunrise to Sunset and in the middle of the night.

Jeff Jefferies is the current ambassador to Iraq and his comments to the Senate Armed Services committee spell it out plainly. We are not leaving Iraq now, or by the end of 2011. The country is in term oil and cannot survive without the US presence. It is recommend to stay for a decade... and when asked about having Iraq pay for the war debt or current costs, "Not one cent will be going to the US expenses incurred. The Iraqis need to rebuild their infrastructure. Amb. Jefferies went on to advise the committee that Iraqi oil production could hit 8-9 million barrels a day and maybe someday even exceed the Saudi's oil production.

Do the math at $100/barrel... who wins? We The People are being played like a Grand Piano.

Mr. President,
Mr. Scheuer thinks you're boxing yourself into a corner that will force you to put ground troops in Libya, although you've gone on record to say you aren't doing this. Bump.

Oh, and reports are counting civilian deaths in Libya into the dozens due to your humanitarian bombing of their land.

Was it just me, or did I just hear SYRIA being mentioned this morning on CSPAN -- no, no, no dear God, say it isn't so. End the madness.

Excellent thread to the TS. I don't think I ever posted in this when it came out in 2010. But yes, it's been almost a year since the day Obama said we would have troops out of Iraq, yet we still have plenty over there! So about 28 months after being in office, Obama has yet to bring our troops home!
