Obama said he would have all troops out of Iraq by today

Mr. President, thanks for explainerating to us your constitutional authority for your Libya invasion. bump.

Debt ceiling is the topic of the last few weeks for the media, but the tattered yellow ribbon still waves within eyesight.

Oh, and Herman can just can't wait to pre-emptively strike Iran when he becomes bomber-in-chief.

Ron Paul moneybomb T-minus-7hrs 18mins, just come home, bump.

Hear here!

I wish the average Republican would get over their "WE NEED TO BOMB IRAN WHO CAN'T ATTACK US" fervor and realize that if they want a republican to win that he has to be antiwar. All the moral arguments aside you would think that they would understand the depth of our financial problems now and that we need to bring our troops home. We can't afford it.

oh, so intervention in Libya is NATO-led, got it Mr. President, so the US gov't bears no responsibility there. But since we're the biggest part of NATO, we're required to do what NATO says, including spend, spend, spend, intervene, intervene, intervene. Anyways, this is good for our economy, right Mr. Krugman?

But if you look at US media, it does not appear we are still in mutiple wars.

The Green Party is calling for a inquiry into the death of SAS soldier Leon Smith in the Afghanistan province of Wardak after repeated claims New Zealand troops were caught up in a domestic dispute.

Dam said the Governor told her troops operated without advice or intelligence from his administration, and said Afghanistan's Peace Council believed a rival family may have told authorities the family were insurgents.

Lance Corporal Leon Smith died on Wednesday after being shot in the head during a raid on a compound in Wardak, southwest of the Afghan capital Kabul.

gaddafi dead -- any reason we should still have presence in Lybia? Hmm? Hmm?

bump, past time to come home.

Insistence on immunity implies knowledge of crimes that are/will be committed. It seems like the opposite of what one would want for a strong, reasonably ethical military--or does he think it's okay when a rogue platoon runs amok, rapes 14 year-old girls, shoots their family and lights the house on fire?

I wonder if he'll replace the troops with more Blackwater mercenaries this time too...

Almost missed this one, bump. Really, really? This is absolutely not how I want my tax dollars spent.

Obama sending more troops to Australia

From next year, U.S. troops and aircraft will operate out of the tropical city of Darwin, only 820 kms (500 miles) from Indonesia, able to respond quickly to any humanitarian and security issues in Southeast Asia, where disputes over sovereignty of the South China Sea are causing rising tensions.

"It is appropriate for us to make sure...that the security architecture for the region is updated for the 21st century and this initiative is going to allow us to do that," Obama said.
