Obama And Guns

KADE HAS BEEN SUCKY SUCKY :) so long sucker...

McCain is just as likely to grab your guns. He'll justify it with some bullshit speech about "combating domestic terrorists, my friends".

As a moderator for 7 years, everything I see Kade doing is right out of the playbook.

Latching into a post that is not a threat and then acting like it is is almost a numbered tactic. Instead of an advisor or handler telling the operator "Now take that one post, and make it all about how you feel threatened", it's probably more like "OK, see that post there? Use number 6."

Kade does not bother me because I have seen it a million times, and learned to ignore it. However I must say that the best cure for Kade is to ignore him and he will move on to some other website (if he is not already designated to be "working" a long list of forums) and screw with them.

Usually when this happens on my forum I research the logged IP and find interesting things. A lot of them lead to Virginia or Colorado.

So you're saying Kade either is a tobacco farmer, or likes to ski.

You might be on to something.

with the way things are going with the economy
I just might...."WILL WORK FOR FOOD" perhaps? :p

For the next bailout, which you know is coming, we should dress up as in suits and holds signs saying "Need Gas for Yacht. Please Support Bailout" or "Will Fudge Numbers for 700 Billion Dollars" or, "Brother Can Ya Spare half a trillion dollars"

Give me a break KADE. Are we really suppose to believe you feel threatened? You're gonna have to put on a better show than that.

The dude is a damn troll. He's never got anything constructive or intelligent to say. OH wait, I can put him on my ignore list. Nice.

Absolutely agreed. I feel certain either candidate will back legislation that is anti 2nd amendment.

I started this thread with a letter I had received in an email, and posted it because I thought it was interesting. It's not a letter that I wrote, but I certainly do not disagree with its basic content.

Obama is not going to take our guns. It will be the ignorance, and wanton disregard for the rights of others that will foster the idea of a disarming the public. It is the same attitude, much the same as in Nazi Germany, and Stalinist Russia where 10’s of millions were disarmed and slaughtered through the arm of the self-righteous.

I'm a big believer that history does repeat itself, and more often than not we don't learn from it.

In any case, not voting is just what keeps things going as they have been. The supporters of the existing system will always vote to keep it going. The last time they got any type of shock therapy was when 19% of the vote went to Perot. Then you saw them get serious about doing something.

Barack Obama has voted for or supported some of the most extreme gun control measures ever attempted in our nation. And yet, with the help of his media accomplices, the Democrat has managed to lull some gun owners into complacency, just as he has managed to lull many hard-working, red-blooded American workers into complacency by obscuring his socialist economic agenda.
Thanks to one simple question from Joe the Plumber on the campaign trail, Americans now know about Obama's plan for wealth redistribution. And thanks to one simple answer to an interview question, Obama has given "Joe the Hunter" all he needs to know about where he really stands on the right to bear arms.
It has often been observed that the real Obama comes out when you get him off the tele-prompter. In Toledo, Ohio with Joe the Plumber, it was the expression of a desire to "spread the wealth around". And now, in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Obama has finally committed his "Joe the Hunter" moment.
From the story:
When asked about whether a general ban on carrying loaded guns in national parks should be eliminated, the answers were sharply different and somewhat predictable.
McCain, who is against gun control, stated: "I believe the National Park Service and the Fish and Wildlife Service should remove their prohibitions against law-abiding citizens transporting and carrying firearms to lands managed by those agencies."
Obama, who is against assault weapons and a gun show loophole that allows trading of weapons between private individuals, stated: "I believe in Second Amendment rights and the rights of hunters and sportsmen to bear arms and use them in a responsible way. But I am concerned about allowing loaded firearms into family-oriented spaces."
While Barack Obama claims to be a constitutional scholar, he appears to have missed the words "shall not be infringed" and instead believes that the Second Amendment contains the word "but".
"I believe in Second Amendment rights and the rights of hunters and sportsmen to bear arms and use them in a responsible way. BUT I am concerned about allowing loaded firearms into family-oriented spaces."
And with that, the McCain/ Palin campaign has just been handed their "Joe the Hunter" moment, and they need to use it to their full advantage over the next seven days.
America's gun owners enjoy the right have loaded firearms in family-oriented spaces all the time. In fact, it is loyalty to family that inspires many to keep a loaded firearm ready at hand for home defense. It is loyalty to family that motivates a mother to carry a concealed firearm for the protection of her children while, for example, hiking on a secluded park trail. It is loyalty to family that motivates a father to invite his young son or daughter into the field on opening day, or to the range for an afternoon of plinking. "Joe the Hunter" understands this implicitly. Barack just thinks they're all bitter clingers.
When it comes to Obama and the Second Amendment, you'll never hear him utter his supposed support without the follow-up:
"But..."
And thanks to his "Joe the Hunter" moment, we have a late-October admission of the excuse Obama will use as he signs the first gun control law of his administration.
"I am concerned about allowing loaded firearms into family-oriented spaces."

"Joe the Hunter" should be deeply concerned about Obama's concern.

So much for my fight for a CCW against my Democratic Sheriff who has the same Osama agenda...
