NJ Diner Leaves Anti-Gay 'Tip' for Lesbian Waitress

A very good point.
I wonder if that is more or less effective than than other possible resolutions.
As in,, Does it work?

It depends on the desired outcome. I still believe an employer had a great opportunity here if this were an awesome employee treated poorly by some customers. It happens. When you take care of a difficult customer, a great boss will reward you, or at least make up the difference so it doesn't seem like you're being punished for doing your job well.

Of course, that won't get you e-famous.

Update:
After a gay server at a New Jersey restaurant said a customer denied her a tip and wrote her a hateful note on the receipt, a local family contacted NBC 4 New York and said their receipt shows they paid a tip and didn't write any such note.

Dayna Morales, a former Marine and a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, posted a photo on Facebook earlier this month, showing the bill with a line through the space for a tip. The photo of the receipt showed someone had written, "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle."

Morales indicated in her Facebook post, and in subsequent media interviews -- including with NBC 4 New York -- that the customer wrote that line.

But a family contacted NBC 4 New York claiming their receipt from the restaurant shows they did leave a tip, and provided what they said was a credit card statement as proof.

The husband and wife, who asked to remain anonymous, showed NBC 4 New York a receipt that appeared to be printed at the same minute, on the same date, for the same $93.55 total, except with an $18 tip.

They also provided a document they said was a Visa bill, which appears to indicate their card was charged for the meal plus the tip, for a total of $111.55.

Another fake "Hate Crime".

In the past few weeks there was the person who allegedly wrote "******" on a receipt, a person who allegedly put a fake $10 bill with Christian evangelizing on it, and now a person who allegedly hates gays.

Did anyone say "stop me if you've heard this one before"? At this point I can only assume ALL of these incidents are manufactured propaganda.

Either I'm a fucking oracle, or they're making it way too easy these days.

LOL Oh man... She's not much of a grifter. She should have falsely accused someone who paid cash.

I wonder if the owners will be firing her lying, scamming, nasty "it took very fiber of my being not to spit in their food" ass now, or if they were in on it.

"We've never not left a tip when someone gave good service, and we would never leave a note like that," the wife said.

The husband said he and his wife have both worked in restaurants and believe in the value of tipping, and noted that he didn't vote for Gov. Chris Christie because the governor doesn't support gay marriage.

"Never would a message like that come from us," he said.
[...]
A manager and the restaurant owner insisted they had the original ticket for the $93.55 charge, but would not produce the receipt for NBC 4 New York and could not explain why the family's credit card was charged for more.

The restaurant later said in a statement it was aware of the allegations and had no comment pending an internal investigation.

Whatever happened, the couple believes it may have begun with a misunderstanding.

They said they thought the hostess who sat the family told them their server would be "Dan," and when Morales showed up at their table, the wife exclaimed "whoa, you're not Dan."

Morales wrote in her Facebook post that the wife said, "oh I thought you were gonna say your name is Dan. You sure surprised us!"

According to the couple, the rest of the meal with their two children went fine.

They said they came forward because the story of the receipt note didn't appear to be going away; Morales had recently announced that people were sending her tips from all over the world, and was donating some of the money to the Wounded Warrior Project.

"I just felt like people have a right to know that -- it's fine if people want to donate to her or to the Wounded Warriors, but they're doing it under a false pretense," the wife said.

i think you meant to say white straight christian males cos if you think a white female or white gay/atheist male wouldn't get the same treatment then you don't even know the half of it. But yea, i knew the whole thing might be a scam when it came after a week or 2 after the other black waitress complained about a racist tipper and got loads of attention. If they open up a donation account very soon after the incident, then its mostly likely is a scam.

Also I would like to see an audit of the donation account just to make sure all the money donated is actually going to the wounded warrior charity as she said cos right now, I do not trust a word coming out from her mouth

How can WWP even accept "some of the money?" The donations were based on fraud.

Yeah , well , who wants to be e famous ?

Has the new story about her being a known pathological liar been posted yet?

lmao, it was obvious as soon as I saw her stupid smug face she was not a respectable human.

I would have fired that disgusting pig for threatening to spit in my food and serve it to my customers! What the hell is this....New Zealand?! Fire her ass already. I would never eat in that restaurant for that reason alone.

Waitress who received alleged anti-gay receipt suspended pending investigation
http://news.yahoo.com/waitress-who-...uspended-pending-investigation-205841873.html
The New Jersey waitress who claimed she received an anti-gay message in lieu of a tip has been suspended pending an investigation.

Dayna Morales, a waitress at the Gallop Asian Bistro restaurant in Bridgewater, N.J., said that a couple who ate at the restaurant paid their bill but left no tip, saying "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle and how you live your life." Morales is gay.

However, the couple later came forward and provided their copy of the receipt to counter Morales' charges, along with a copy of the credit card statement indicating that the tip had been included. Now, the restaurant has suspended Morales pending its investigation into her conduct.

“Ms. Morales is currently not on our employee schedule while we are still working to complete our investigation," the restaurant wrote on its Facebook page.

Both the husband and the wife who ate the meal strongly protested the allegation that they left an anti-gay "tip," with the wife noting that she is left-handed and does not write like the receipt indicates, and the husband saying he did not vote for New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie because of his opposition to gay marriage. Morales, in turn, has said the handwriting is not hers.

In the wake of the incident, Morales has drawn criticism from her co-workers. Morales, an ex-Marine, was reportedly discharged from the Reserve Corps in May under conditions other than honorable for failing to attend drills.
