So do I. I have been speaking with people about it and a couple are reaching out to groups, and I am thinking of other ways to address it, in person, but I'm not a notary public and people have to take the forms to get them notarized. I would like people to tweet this when they think about it if they want to support it, though. I'm about to check on what came in yesterday.

However, think of the 19/20thth as the deadline since there is no mail on Sunday, I have to try to check registration of those on the forms, and I have to send in an overnight filing package on the 22d midday at latest (I'd rather not play it that close) to make sure it is received on time in Sacramento.

Thanks! Another guy told me he had sent 10 but I haven't received them yet. They will probably be there Monday as well.

Sadly, I just got a letter with no form but just a question -- will they be able to just write in 'Ron Paul' without knowing the VP and have it count. according to Secretary of State materials, yes, you will only have to write in 'Ron Paul' not the VP (who at this point is unclear) in order to have it be counted to Ron once he is a certified candidate.
 
As of today, 10/10 we have 21 in hand- and I have to check some things (some on legal paper - Please use letter paper, but I think it will still be ok. checking.)

also, I think we might want to organize an effort to notify meetups in CA and email a couple of contacts at big one the forms to help if they are willing. I did email one late last night when I thought of it, but will get more into that today. Let me know if you are willing to help so we can avoid duplication!

If you go to meetup.com you will have to join for which you need an email address, but you can make a throw away one if you don't want to give meet up your normal one (although I did, and nothing bad has happened...) then search Ron Paul and california (it may try to throw you into a narrower area, right by you). Then DON'T pick 'freedomFrank' as the guy to email (he's the one message I sent last night) maybe start north of Los Angeles and I'll start in and south of Los Angeles. The meetups will tell you the size, pick bigger or more recently active ones (if you click the meetup you will see their calendar and their organizer). Make your own judgment calls, but post the names of the meetups you do contact, so we don't duplicate. Send them both dropbox links in the OP and explain that we need notarized forms of registered voters in CA received in Studio City by October 20 (to make sure I receive them, I need to mail my own package out the 21st to make sure... at least I want to.) You can only send about 5 emails a day so I'd do outreach to just one at each meetup, and just the more active ones, and I was NOT doing official Libertarian NOR Republican Liberty Caucus ones since they have other candidates, even though there may be those there who sympathize. I will go to the more 'Ron Paul' ones.

Here is what I just sent another meetup if you want to use it. Remember to right click copy the links so they are live when you paste them on your emails (you probably know that!) Again, if you start North of the Los Angeles area -- Ventura county, Santa Barbara, Kern County etc, today I'll do some in the Los Angeles/San Diego/San Bernardino area. We can leave the San Francisco, Chico, Berkeley, Oakland area for another person who may want to do this, and the Sacramento, San Gabriel, Roseville and north area, for yet another -- or for us tomorrow, if no one else wants to pitch in. Make note of who you do email, so we don't duplicate. Hit the big and busy ones first! Feel free to make a better email message, I just tossed this off.

Hi, we haven't gotten enough people sending forms to be electors for Ron Paul to be a certified write in candidate. We need to overnight the forms to the Secretary of state on October 21 (or 22, but I hate waiting until the last day - they need to be received by October 23.) The Secretary of State will certify write in candidates on their website October 26.

If you know any registered voter who is willing to be a Ron Paul elector and get the form filled out and notarized, that would be fantastic. The form should be printed on letter paper and if you use a notary you just leave the election official part blank.

Finally, I have heard there are two other efforts 'out there' to do this, but I haven't been able to locate the organizer to coordinate. As of the last time I called the Secretary of State they only had 7 forms, for different VPs. (Our VP is just a guy at Ron Paul forums we know won't back out and endorse someone else. We just want our votes counted.) Before we mail the forms in we will call to double check that the Secretary of State hasn't already received 55 electors, so we minimize the chance of multiple certifications for Ron. I think the other thread needs to be deleted so there is no confusion because I know a couple of other people who went for it. We need to not waste resources and pool it into the organization that already has the most completed.

I hate to delete a thread that my own thread is 'competing with'. I did post in it. If people just don't bump it, it will drop off the page.
 
How many electors do we have now did you get the group of ten yet? I know one la guy will do his tmrw
 
We have 21 + mine (which I can do any time) is 22. But I didn't do a pick up today, I wasn't able to go in after they sorted the mail, which is late in the afternoon. So something may have come in today. I did send messages with links to the forms to some meet up group organizers. I hope they don't wait until the 20th to spread the word, though.

Did I get this right? ClydeDoulter is sailingaways dad?..... just curious.... I think I read somewhere that Clyde is VP nominee.

I posted early over there, but the comments drop off the page. That person isn't even collecting forms, just telling people to send them in, so he doesn't even know how many he has. It is discouraging.

ClydeCoulter isn't MY Dad, by the way, he is KerriAnn's Dad. He also said what he cares about is having Ron's votes counted not being VP. Unfortunately I can't get any confirmation of who has the most forms to try to organize coordination, from anyone. Personally, I would rather move to a Karen K VP if we changed VP because Nap has endorsed Johnson and might make a statement deferring or something, and I don't want this rained on by the VP who isn't what the effort is about. (I don't know that would happen but picking a celebrity has that potential.) We are starting to have less time to change at all, though, so at this point I am more in the gear up stage, not wind down stage. I haven't seen anyone say either of the other efforts have more than a couple forms.
