We need 55 electors (registered voters in their county of residence in CA, of any party) to file declarations of write-in candidacy Presidential elector forms in order for Ron Paul to be a certified write in candidate for California's November election.
I do not recommend that Central Committee members or others needing California GOP good will sign up as electors for Ron Paul, just in case there is an issue with that under local GOP rules.
I had heard from a Napa valley letter to the editor this had already been done, but I got a response to my email to the Secretary of State that they have received no forms for Ron yet. We need to pull this together.
If you are a registered voter in California and are willing to sign, get notarized and send me the elector form to do this, please pm me, or just fill out and have the form below notarized (according to the instructions, other link below) and send them to the mail box I rented for this purpose (address in the instructions). I will put together 55 of them, with maybe extras if we have them 'in case' and send a filing package to the Secretary of State. I have the address where it needs to be filed and I will request a 'conformed stamped copy' by return address so I have something to show it is complete, before the SOS certifies write in candidates which only happens after the deadline to file. I want this done as soon as possible, so we can let people know it is complete. We picked Clyde Coulter of this forum for VP because we know he is a Ron Paul supporter. That was open for discussion for a while but no other names (except mine) were put forward (and I'd rather have Clyde.)
