Woot! Someone at DP is a member of a group with Gail Lightfoot and he/she says they will help. I tried to post on the facebook link she/he left, but it needs approval to join, so I sent my request. However, I also posted a response and sent a message to the poster there. I don't know how many people she can get but she led the successful effort in 2008, so....

No, we asked for help with that, I emailed some and KerriAnn did and Carson did, the groups are earlier in the thread, but we only got a response from one. At this point if you do contact them, please pass on the secretary of state address to send the forms directly. I think after the mail is sorted Friday, I may send the package in on Saturday morning, since people are now going to be sending them directly to the Secretary of State rather than having me put together an entire filing package. I will send a second package Monday if I get more Saturday, but I would have to send it before the mail came in Monday, in any event. They don't sort mail until late afternoon/early evening, and it is too late then to catch the outgoing overnight mail.

29 plus maybe an extra or two in case a couple aren't good. Gail Lightfoot's group is going to help, a person from there said, but I won't be able to keep track of it, it will be going directly. I asked them to say how many they sent, when they do. I think some who are now more official in either R or L may be dragging feet in passing it on, a bit but I may be imagining it.

Finally able to send some emails to 12 meetup groups organizers and to an Oath Keeper group and JBL group today. I was having technical difficulties. Thank you for the help from Carson and a posted tip from DavidT. Hope we get some response and/or forms.

Thank you! Remember that now they should send them directly to the Secretary of State at the address in the OP, if they haven't sent them yet. We lose two postal days with them coming to me.

I am going to send out a batch Saturday morning and whatever comes in on Saturday out Monday morning. I won't be able to wait for whatever may come in Monday in the mail, I get it after overnight mail goes out.

We are getting a flurry of interest from some groups and might be able to get them to the Secretary of State by Tuesday, but they should be sent directly there now, not to me, so I won't be collecting many more. I do expect a handful more from those that were already placed in the mail, though.

Sadly, there are about 10 at the SOS with different VPs (two different ones) which if we had been able to coordinate would have made this easier.

(Gail Lightfoot said that, and she did this in 2008). So I plan to send these today, just to be sure, and fax any others that come in.

I've received messages that at least a few are being sent directly, and messages from others that they are working on it as well, so my fingers are crossed. Gail says hers can't be changed that she already has, the ones already in or on the way, but at least some in her group are now sending with a 'Clyde Coulter' vp, since we have more forms accounted for, at this point.

You have 32? Do you have a good handle on how many others there are that have already been filed or being sent directly?
ie, Are you hopeful that Ron will be a valid/legal writein in CA?

Hey all. I will vote for Ron as write in if it would be counted in Washington. Unfortunately it looks likes a declaration form needs to be submitted for that to happen. It also looks like the form needs to be signed by the actual candidate which I am assuming is not going to happen:

Presidential elections are different and in 2011 apparently it was changed so they will accept all write ins for president (although the language someone posted here seemed to say they'd only be tallied if overall write ins could make a difference in outcome.) Richard Gilbert put out a video that his lawsuit got Washington to say they'd count all presidential write ins. I will say there is a split on whether he is credible but it does say they don't need to have a declaration from the candidate by something posted here (I'll get the language).

Here is the link Patriot One posted saying you can write in undeclared candidates for president but they would only be counted if the write ins could change the outcome and you have to write FULL NAME AND PARTY COMPLETELY (in other words "Ronald Earnest Paul, Republican"). http://www.sos.wa.gov/_assets/elections/Appearing-on-the-Presidential-ballot.pdf

which sounds like it really is a reprise of what is in the SOS link, since if the write in gets the most votes, 'it would change the outcome'.

SO, it might just fall into the 'other' category, which I consider 'none of the above', if it doesn't change the outcome. I'm voting for Ron by write in even if it falls into that category, because for me 'none of the above' rejects the official choices and is my second best vote in any event, but you might feel differently.
