received one more in yesterday's mail (they don't sort it until late). So we are up to 25 now, but we need a bunch more! I posted this at the main CA facebook page I know about, if people know other California face book links that are suitable, and want to spread the word that would be great!

AFTER today, I'm wondering if people not in Los Angeles (where I am and usually get mail in one day if you caught the mail before it went out) shouldn't send their forms directly to the Secretary of STate, so there is no question of it not getting to me before I send out my filing package on Monday the 22 BEFORE the mail gets in (it isn't sorted until afternoon where my box is.)

If you ARE in Los Angeles, you can send to me through Thursday, but after that I'd send directly to the Secretary of State.

Everybody is so lazy, I don't even know if we'll get 55. Notarizing is considered a 'task' for these people..lol

Is there a RP-friendly notary that can be driven to these people that would otherwise be willing to help except for this inconvenience?

We also received a response to an email to a larger meetup in San Diego asking how this was coming, and we don't have any from down that way, so maybe they will be able to help. We sent him the Secretary of State address to send forms to directly, as I noted in the OP. I am still collecting them up to the 22d, but I don't want them coming here first to keep them from making it to the SOS before the deadline.

Did you pm who that was? I didn't double check, but I could. I have at least a handful more on the way, from what I have been told, but we need more. I hope the meetups we sent messages to decide to take on efforts.

I'm kind of worried about waiting and sending them in so near the deadline. If you could would you consider pushing your deadline up some?

Ideally we would have 55 in time to send them in early. If we're going to be short I'd like to see them get there ahead of time to reduce the odds of anything happening. Even if it meant sending a couple in later separately.

Thanks again for the effort you've made on all of this. This is an important move to help Ron Paul succeed in California in 2012. Also you've probably launched a thousand ships / people that now have a better understanding of the way this works and I'm sure we could all do better in the future if the situation arises.

I am open to that, but I want to give all that are being sent to me a chance to get in. I plan to overnight them, and get a receipt that they are delivered. If I have 55 early, there is no question I will send them early. I'm only waiting until Monday because I DON'T have them yet. I wanted to get a picture of what we send in, so we have a record. However, that is why I am saying from here out, to mail them directly to the SOS, so they are received by October 23 -- although I would appreciate it if people could let us know they have, if they are able, so we have a count.

Woot! Someone at DP is a member of a group with Gail Lightfoot and he/she says they will help. I tried to post on the facebook link she/he left, but it needs approval to join, so I sent my request. However, I also posted a response and sent a message to the poster there. I don't know how many people she can get but she led the successful effort in 2008, so....
