Musicians for the D.C. March

Roger Waters (formerly of Pink Floyd) would be a great catch, he's definately sympathetic to the movement, but I'm not sure if he's even heard of Ron Paul (being British and all).

On another note, would it be possible to set up micro FM transmitters so that we could broadcast to the DC area? I think ones below certain wattage are unregulated.

Needs more Joe Walsh

I think Melissa Etheridge should be approached. Although her politics and Dr Paul's do not line up directly she is hard core Stop the War. She has many activist type songs which would go well with this sort of gathering too. A nice letter campaign asking her to consult her friend Dennis Kucinich might cause her to give the march a closer look.

Ron Paul is better of Individual rights than ANY Candidate, Save Kucinich, who is right there with us on the rights of Gays(among all groups, not JUST gays)

Now that Kuch is out, this should be a no brainer.

Are you one of the organizers??

If you are, please shoot me a tele# and a good time to reach you at it..

We would love to do it, but 6/7/8 is the date I get married, and my whole band are the grooms/ushers contingent.

We are 3.5 hours up the road on I-95

We have had a lot of fans contact us and ask us to play at it.

The 4/19 date was great
July 4th was still open for us...

We would play memorial day weekend date for RP in DC instead of the National Convention for the Libertarian party in CO

so let us know.

Also here are some of our music lending support to the campaign..

Thanks for the contact

Yes!

They could both come with just their acoustic guitars.

It would remind everybody of Bob Dylan playing in protest in DC some forty years ago!

I am usually a hard rock three piece outfit.. But I am doing what needs doing for this type of tradition and venue. I am not going to be playing to knock people over with a wall of sound. I am going play some cogent tunes as an acoustic set. I have a beyond gypsy and bluegrass fingerstyle so it won't be just a strumfest that Belushi would cram a guitar into someones head for.

Best

Great to see a bunch of other folks clued into Poker Face.
They, like Dr Paul, have been pushing Freedom 1776 style since at least 1994 that I know of. And like Dr Paul have taken flack by the America haters, and Truth haters for being great messengers of our forefathers message of Freedom for All. Not just freedom for the elite, by the elite, and of the elite as it is now quickly becoming.

ps Paul Topete the lead singer would make a great speaker. Paul and the band are well versed on most of the problems affecting America today, and put forth a lot of real solutions to many of them. Here he is speaking at a a couple of anti-illegal immigration rallies held in PA/NJ last year

Just heard a caller on Alex Jones saying that a punk rock band U.S. Bombs is right now touring for Ron Paul, or something similar...

I can't believe no one has suggested RADIOHEAD

I don't know what Thom's political stance is, all I know is that he is political and strongly against global warming and globalization. He's against the war, thinks Bush and Blair suck, blah blah

Really, Radiohead being at the rally would be HUUUUUUUUUGE
