Musicians for the D.C. March

Lol I can see the headlines now:

"Millions show up to see Lenny, Zep, RATM, and Mayer at the National Mall...rally was originally intended as a show of support for presidential long-shot Ron Paul, but polling shows 99% of attendants were just there for the music"

Yeah,
I know this guy who would love to play at the March! This dude crushes.
His name is Commander Yo!

He also has a band called Karma Logic, although the drummer is an Obama supporter. He is a great drummer though. The rest are all Paulites to the core.

Viva la Revolucion!

In addition to LIVE music acts - We need to have jumbo video screens with a first rate sound system playing the "Best Of" You Tube Music Videos.

I know of some amazing live production suites in New England. This guy Rob Soup can record our entire event on DVD and pan to the audience and put them on display screen while putting special effects media with it. He's got lasers that can put Ron Paul Revolution logo across the ENTIRE city! That will make a dent for our movement, trust!

He's got a sound production setup as well concert size.

He's one of the best on the East Coast.

He's a libertarian as well and may be excited to do this. He also used to do the major festivals all along the East Coast.

Here's his website:

Oh yeah, what are they going to have surveys asking people who you are here for? Cmon... No matter what the media will try and ignore or marginalize this event; we need to focus less on them and more on the potential on growth. I'm telling you if Paul gives a speech it will be able to ignite passion among us but mnore importantly a crowd of newcomers. Putting acts that follow in diversification and also Paul's message or a combination of both will be able to help with this objective.

Music has always played a vital role in politics...build a direction so that you could incorporate both so it folds Ron Paul right into this whole idea.

It needs to be more then about Ron Paul it needs to have a direction if this intends to grow. Music is a universal language and can play a vital role on growing the movement and sparking new interest.

Jimmie Vaughan is playing in Austin on Feb 23 at the Austin rally. I don't know if he supports Ron Paul, but since he's playing the rally I'd assume it. If no one has mentioned him I think it would be great.

Invite Pat Metheny and David Bowie to do "This is not America" --from the "Falcon and the Snowman" soundtrack. Anyone old enough to remember that early Sean Penn film and this song?
