Hm another example of her instinctive jealousy- not even one week ago, we were getting a new tire at Pep Boys, and the Pep Boy was truly digging her. He was very flirty, and she reciprocated rather beautifully. She was charming and aglow, and I liked watching her. We talked about it while we waited the hour that they told us, while walking to a store.
The first significant detail is that I had to explain maybe 6 different times that I wasn't chastising her or sad or mad about it, that I thought it was funny, and that she looked hot, and that it only made me happy- she kept assuming that I was jealous and kept assuming a defensive rhetoric, instead of discussing anything from the perspective in which I viewed and expressed the situation, one of admiration and contentment.
So in the course of that conversation, I had to explain to her about shiny eyes lol- she didn't notice that the Pep Boy had all shiny eyes at her, or know that such a thing even occured in courtships. When I explained it, her response was the predictable, "Oh...you better not shine your eyes at anyone."
