Mark just called me and told me our healthcare plan just got canceled.

I agree with you. This started in Europe.. In-fact the incentive in places like Belgium are so strong to stay single that so many will never marry. What's the motive in ending traditional marriage in this country? I don't get it.

Quite simply growth of government.

The family unit is the last social structure left that isn't completely dependent on government.

I can remember counties fighting to keep the feds out but now every little burg is dependent in some way which gives unified authority almost free reign.

Family courts and this insurance scam are quickly eroding the last battison of individuality, this will make the fourth generation that's grown up with a goodly portion of "families" dependent on government and its minions.

Lump all these symptoms in with public education and the largest for profit prison system in the world and you've got a pretty obedient workforce...

Imagine how much happier would you be if you didnt answered that phone call..-

So, is it your view that this New World Order is seeking to make marriage reserved only for the aristocracy .... and common law marriage for the peasants.... as in the olden days of black slavery? That would make sense, in the way they are going. Destroy the family network, enslave... Free health insurance if you are single ... $1000. per month per person if you're married. United as a family, we stand; Divided as a family, we fall ... I see exactly what you are saying.

Their supposed goal is to provide insurance for every American. But, in order to do that, they need young, healthy workers to pay into the system to the tune of about 7 million in order to make this fly. Well guess what.....the youngins' ain't goin' for it. So that means the rest of us have to be herded into their system to pay for all the people who can't afford insurance - which necessarily means our premiums and deductibles go up. That is re-distribution of wealth aka socialism, plain. and. simple.

Hooray for another Ponzi Scheme. And surpluses will be in Treasury IOUs.

Our healthcare plan through my husband's work just got canceled. We had sterling healthcare through BlueCross/BlueShield. 30,000 employees in my husband's company. We've all been switched to United Healthcare Plan and have been told our premiums and deductibles will go up, and we may not get to keep our doctor.

Thanks Obama!!!! You lying piece of shit!!! Welcome to Socialism!

Is there ANY way to organize a class action lawsuit complaint or online petition
signed by all the people who lost their insurance, have to pay more, or in doing so
cannot pay for other things that are equally vital? Since ACA went into effect?

Not to mention:
* 130 million in tax dollars that went toward advertising this plan
when that could be invested in creating equal alternatives that work better and/or cover the population left out of this bill
* 24 billion est. cost of govt shutdown in protest of ACA and the refusal to delay the individual mandate and to remove the tax on medical devices as an agreed compromise

unconstitutional exclusion/discrimination by govt AGAINST people who "believe" in states rights over federal mandates and believe in free choice of health care besides insurance mandates

by way of imposing a tax penalty that people are otherwise exempt from "if they believe" in federal govt regulated health care

note: restrictions on exemptions constitute regulation by religion by federal govt
since only specific groups that meet narrow criteria based on religion are exempted

is anyone else suing on the basis of "religious or political beliefs" being discriminated against by the ACA, the mandates and the restrictions on exemptions and innovations as alternatives?

I know that Catholic nuns and Hobby Lobby sued regarding contraception.
And Pacific Legal Foundation is suing on the basis of a tax bill not being set up constitutionally in Congress.
What about the "belief" in states rights to vote on health care instead of federal govt?
Not the policy itself, since the Supreme Court already decided this was a "tax" within federal powers.
But the BELIEF it is not a constitutional tax but federal regulation of health care and penalty discriminating against those of opposing political beliefs, where a vote by Congress and ruling by Supreme Court is not justification for exclusion and penalty based on beliefs.

What about suing to recognize "political beliefs" as equally protected under law as "religious beliefs"
by the First and Fourteenth Amendments? any lawsuits or issues raised on this point?

if so, i want to join such a suit.
if not, then I want to start one, either an online petition, a resolution or a class action lawsuit
naming officials who passed and imposed this ACA that discriminates excludes and penalizes on the basis of political beliefs
for or against govt health care and paying for private insurance as the only legal option (except for exemptions that
also constitute regulation by religious affilation and/or discrimination against believers in states rights over federal)

If states don't even force convicts to pay for their medical costs in prison, and these people committed crimes and owe taxpayers for those expenses,
how can the govt justify forcing law abiding citizens to pay who committed no crime at all? wanting to pay for health care other ways besides insurance
is not a crime and yet it would be penalized by law. i don't get how this is "prochoice" either. If liberals won't allow any regulation to restrict (much less penalize) the free choice of abortion, for fear that it will lead to greater govt controls, then how can they justify penalizing the free choice of health care which causes no harm?

not only unconstitutional to expand the powers of federal govt without a constitutional amendment, but this is political fraud.
the liberals and Democrats pushing this are contradicting the policies they claim to represent in being "prochoice" and for "inclusion" of minorities.
where is the inclusion of voters and reps who believe in other options and don't believe in govt mandates forcing citizens to buy insurance from private corporations?

No problem, Deb.

Just repeat after me: "I have great health insurance, I have great health insurance, .." and you will!
:D ;)

Good points. And welcome.

Has anyone tried any of the Christian "medical cost sharing" plans? As I understand it, they're exempt from the Obamacare requirements and function something like a Co-op for sharing costs.

"Medi-Share" through http://mychristiancare.org/ is the largest one, although there are others.

Generally speaking, from what I've read, it appears to be a good deal, at least in theory. But I'm not sure how it stacks up against "real" insurance.

My company cancelled ours in the beginning of 2012 anticipating Obamacare. (less than 50 employees so they don't have to comply). I had to go on my husband's and our new plan this year has a doubled deductible and higher premiums. My son's individual plan went up by 30%. We have not signed up on Obamacare though nor will we.

Are you sure that by getting a new insurance plan you aren't automatically part of Obamacare whether you explicitly "sign up" or not?

So far young people are not signing up. It's a major blow to Obamacare, longterm.

The Fedcoats will be left with 2 major paths, soon. 1) drop this whole charade and reverse the law or 2) mandate single payer care and force EVERYONE into the gulag.

As a Canadian...single payer sucks. Don't let it get to that.

The doctors have caps on how much they make, so they are in too short supply. As are beds. As are specialists (ESPECIALLY specialists).

It's a joke.

Ontario won't have single payer some time in my life. Now that the boomers are retiring, costs are spiking and the number of taxpayers, dwindling.

This Titanic already struck the iceberg and the retards on all levels are still dancing.

20 years from now, the boat will be in two pieces and plunging toward the seabed.

And when we all refuse, they can .......

And people think kids are stupid.
Follow their example ... Repeat after me ... I will not comply !

No one has asked what it would be like IF no one had insurance.

Insurance is probably cheaper in certain states that have nullified obombacare and refuse participation in the exchanges.

I will look into this. Thanks for the info.
