Marjorie Taylor Greene is no longer a member of the Freedom Caucus
A member of the House Freedom Caucus on Thursday confirmed that the conservative group has voted to boot Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) — a vote first reported by POLITICO last week.

“A vote was taken to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from the House Freedom Caucus for some of the things she's done,” said Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.).

Details: The Maryland Republican declined to say how he voted, but called the decision to remove her “an appropriate action.” Pressed if that meant Greene is formally out, Harris, who noted he is on the group’s board, added: “As far as I know, that is the way it is.”

...

Why was Greene removed? Though tensions were already brewing within the Freedom Caucus, the formal vote came shortly after Greene and fellow caucus member Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) got into a heated clash on the House floor — details of which were quickly leaked to reporters.

“I think the way she referred to a fellow member was probably not the way we expect our members to refer to other fellow, especially female, members,” Harris said on Thursday, appearing to refer to Greene reportedly calling Boebert a “little bitch.”

Asked if Greene breaking from the group on the debt bill or her support for McCarthy were factors, Harris said, “I think all of that mattered.”

“I think the straw that broke the camel's back was publicly saying things about another member in terms that no one should,” he said.

I'm not signing up for an account, but has anybody looked at MTG's or Tom Massie's tw|tter to see if there is scoop?

The House Freedom Caucus ejected Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) last month after she repeatedly broke with the coalition to side with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.)—a move that emphasizes right-wing members’ commitment to leveraging its outsize power under the GOP’s slim majority in the House.

KEY FACTS

The caucus of approximately 40 lawmakers voted to remove Greene “for some of the things she’s done,” Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.), a caucus board member, told Politico on Thursday.

While tensions between Greene and her fellow caucus members have been brewing for months, Harris alluded to her expletive-filled verbal attack on Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) as the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Last month, Greene reportedly called Boebert a “little b—-h” on the House floor after Boebert forced a vote on a resolution to impeach President Joe Biden, weeks after Greene introduced her own impeachment resolution against Biden.

Greene’s alliance with McCarthy, who has repeatedly been forced to negotiate with the House Freedom Caucus to earn the support he needs to move key issues through the House (including his own speakership bid), was also a factor in the caucus’s decision, Politico reported last month.

Harris indicated the decision on Greene might not be final, telling Politico “as far as I know, that is the way it is.”

Greene did not deny the Daily Beast report about her fight with Boebert, telling reporters the story was “impressively accurate.”

KEY BACKGROUND

Greene is reportedly among several members the House Freedom Caucus was considering ejecting over a perceived lack of loyalty or inaction, Politico reported last month. The Freedom Caucus has repeatedly exercised its newfound power under the slim 222-213 Republican majority in the House by forcing leadership to cave to its demands in exchange for their cooperation on measures supported by the majority of the Republican conference. Some Freedom Caucus members have expressed a need for ultimate unity given the precarious dynamics. Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.) told Politico about 80% of the House Freedom Caucus has been united on most issues, but said “on some big issues, we have not been able to get there,” adding that Greene has “been critical of us for a long time.” In addition to criticizing Boebert, Greene publicly rebuked members who suggested ousting McCarthy as speaker over the debt ceiling deal he negotiated with Biden.

The entire caucus could be diisolved and nobody would notice , once they started voting for this last budget bill there is no longer enough credibility to amount to a hill of beans .

These are the best that 'murika has to offer to "represent" us.

I'm rooting for the big comet to come and smite us.

Just shootin' from the hip, but this is primal female nature in the Western world.

MTG has a history of banging every one of her male bosses and trainers.

She knows what she wants and goes for it.

Boebert is fresh out of the trailer park from her white trash man and needs to shore up some steady sausage from a higher social status. (as if she could go lower)

Boebert sees what MTG has and knows that she is younger and can get McCarthy to play........because he's a player. She knows it, MTG knows it, and McCarthy knows it. In fact, McCarthy is probably getting off on it.

MTG knows that she needs to send a few shots across the bow to back Boebert off.

Those who think that any of this has anything to do with "freedom" are just SIMPING for MTG and Boebert.

Everybody wants to be a star.

This is a dim-witted distraction. Both of these women are always trying too hard. I don't trust either of them.

...Oh, and stupid tripe like this, is the reason I rarely come to this site anymore:

Along with Tom Massie, they have among the highest Freedom Index Scores in the House.

Acknowledging that I am an Agorist/AnCap, ^that^ is the reason I always go by The Record.

Have you researched as to the accuracy of my statements?

My statements are largely true with my added sarcasm.

If your pussy gets hurt by my posts, perhaps you should find a safer place for your sensitivities.

And by the way, report me to the moderators.

It is none of my business, that is between her and her husband. Who knows what arrangement they have (open relationship, closed marriage, reconciled, or simply just rumors).

In my world, words like "allegation", "apparent" and "other-person-he-said-she-said" don't fit in to Records. It doesn't affect her Freedom Index Score of 98%.

MJT told the Mail the claims were "ridiculous tabloid garbage spread by an avowed Communist."

She said the claims are "another attempt to smear my name because I’m the biggest threat to the Democrats’ Socialist agenda".
