Maybe I just can't find another thread in here on this, but after searching for a while I just decided to start one.
Is anyone planing to march on Washington July 4th? If not... why? Shouldn't the people of this movement want something like that? We did it once, let's do it again... only this time it's not so much about Ron Paul so let's reach out to other organizations with similar sentement. I know there will be milions there for the fireworks. We discussed that last year. BUT... milions there to see fireworks could be milions educated about the meaning of July 4th! A portion of them may join our ranks! I see planing on this forum for 2010... I don't think we have that kind of time! The article that inspired me to come here and bring this up was on WND March 10th.

Myself along with several of my friends may go whether or not there is an organized march. Who knows... with a handfull of us we may see a spontaneous uprising! I know how this sounds to some people... but are we, like the generation before us, going to stand down and let the next generation deal with all of this? By that time, will they have the liberties that we all have at their disposal to combat tyrany?? If you are willing to take that chance then, by all means sit at home and do nothing. I didn't come here today to stir the pot. I just noticed that no one else had been doing it.

I think we should try and force our way into the Oval Office! I mean, everyone marches on Washington. :D

They don't allow open carry in DC do they? It would be nice if we could all go armed.

Marches in Washington DC don't get any media attention, unfortunately.

The results of the CPAC straw poll, on the other hand, do. Mitt Romney's winning streak at CPAC is getting boring, and an upset by Ron Paul in 2010 would be just the sort of story the media would like. The media attention drawn to Ron Paul and C4L would help us with other goals in 2010. So if we're going to have an event in Washington DC in the next year, I think it should be attending that. See http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=186253

look... I know everyone is mad enough to go there armed, but.... Let them draw first blood in full view of the worlds eye! We won't need guns! But if we sit and do nothing and wait for 2010 or 2012 we wont HAVE guns! we must do something NOW. I know most of you can feel it in your gut every day! I CAN. I'm going... I hope you all will too. I will be armed with copies of the Obama Deception and pocket constitutions. If that makes me a terrorist... well I guess that I just have to take that chance.

Why not go to New York and protest at the Federal Reserve there? You could probably get a big group of locals and get some media attention in the biggest city of the US.

Good idea! Everyone should bring DVDs or literature.

Don't make me go to DC in the summer again!!

I'm still recovering from the heat of last summer's event.

How about Northern Minnesota instead? We could canoe the Boundary Waters and launch fireworks into Canada. :)

:D Me too recovering from last year!

Oh come on! Last year wasn't THAT bad! Besides... we can't let a little heat stop us! You will be wishing you hadn't when this all goes down. I think it has to be DC... number one because that is where all the criminals are. Here, I found another group talking about the same thing!! http://forum.prisonplanet.com/index.php?topic=96838.0

See... already we are rising up everywhere... we need to spread the word like crazy. 10K people in the streets is not enough this time! If you didn't go last year make the commitment THIS TIME!! It's not about LEFT or RIGHT or who is president! We march on DC for our existance as a FREE REPUBLIC! We let them know we are not their slaves and they will NOT enslave our children! We go to reclaim our CONSTITUTION, and GOD WILLING we go to toss the crooks out on their butts!! I'm not and organizer or with any one group... I wouldn't know where to begin. All I am saying is we can and should do this... either way I am going.

wow... I was hoping over the weekend more people would have replied... it's the same story on the other forums. What's going on? I guess people just want to wait and see what happens? Wow... it's kinda like... well the breaks just went out in my car and I am fast approaching an intersection... the light is red and the cross traffic is moving but, I'm just gunna wait and see what happens. I know the general sentament is that marches don't do anything... well I for one would love to hear a better idea! I know it takes time to get people fired up but I guess I expected more outrage over what is being done. I'm still going. I will be at the monument (same place we met to march for RP last year) as close to lunch as I can make it. It's an 20+ hour drive from here... if i didn't mind showing up naked on a screen at the airport I would fly. Don't forget the tea parties April 15th! I have been hearing stories about people mailing tea to certain representatives. hahahah... one even turned it in as a terrorist threat... a green substance was mailed to her office. (my best elitest brit accent) The terrorist must be stoped immediately! Silence them! Rotten filth! How dare you mail tea to her grace... to her excellence! Stop them immediately! LOL LOL LOL!!

I am hoping we will pick up some steam at the tea parties (pun completely intentional). But we should not count on that exposure alone. Call your favorite talk radio programs. Call Beck... call your local stations morning talk shows... just mention that there is a march on washington brewing (again with the tea puns LOL). :D

DC is already packed on July 4th from Independence Day Celebrations. You would never get a permit.

If you are waiting for a permit to stand against tyrany... I can confidently say, none shall be issued.

INDEPENDENCE and PERMIT are antithetical.

What can possibly be the meaning of requesting permission to demonstrate independence?

LET US DEMONSTRATE OUR INDEPENDENCE, NOT REQUEST IT.

Yes.

Not march, exactly. Baby Boomers don't march. We sort of amble . . . when we feel like it . . . at our own pace . . . to our own drummer. Bear in mind that we are the relaxed and groovy people who spawned the Age of Entitlement, whose children clamored for a cool new president the same way they clamored for (and received) a cool new everything else.

Me and my peeps are much to blame for this clusterfuck. It's time we go to Washington and start shoveling the shit.

The kids'll be outta school . . . Baby Boomers are well versed in Family Vacation = Road Trip.
