The hawkish Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina says he is thinking about running for president in 2016.

In an interview with Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, the senator, running for re-election to the Senate this year, said: “If I get through my general election, if nobody steps up in the presidential mix, if nobody’s out there talking — me and McCain have been talking — I may just jump in to get to make these arguments,” Graham said.

...

Graham’s sidekick, former presidential nominee John McCain, is nudging him to get into the race.

“I’ve strongly encouraged him to give it a look,” McCain said. “I think Lindsey has vast and deep experience on these issues that very few others have. I happen to like a lot of these guys — I like Jeb Bush, Chris Christie. Ted Cruz has gone out of his way to tell people how much he agrees with me on national security.”

While libertarians fight amongst themselves over having a single candidate, the neoconservatives love to stack the deck and fill the stage.

Ah, just what this next race was missing, an establishment Republican.

While libertarians fight amongst themselves over having a single candidate, the neoconservatives love to stack the deck and fill the stage.

It would be helpful to have multiple freedom lovers on stage to hammer the point home, wouldn't it? One candidate is easy to ignore, several are not.

Lol at this shit

Libertarians don't have the budget or the media propaganda machine that the neo-cons do. They can afford to split their votes, do you think we can?

Lol. GOP guaranteed loss in 2016.

Either that or forget about the world being around by the end of his first term

I don't understand why he would want to run. Hillary Clinton agrees with him on most issue. So his viewpoint is already being represented.

I was going to laugh, but SC keeps electing this doofus.

Hell, look at the last 3 presidents. I kept thinking, "no way we can get anyone dumber.

A friend told me once that Ike was the last true republican president and Kennedy was the last true democrat. After Kennedy was shot, each one was worse than the prior. I wouldn't surprised if Lindsey made it to the WH.

I was going to post a joke saying "X for President!", where X is the most outlandishly pinheaded neocon I could think of...but the most outlandishly pinheaded neocon I could think of is in fact Lindsey Graham...so any joke I post would be no good.

Well, GOP did nominate his buddy McCain.
Lindsey is probably just hoping to be Hillary's VP.

at least it would take this turdburger out of the Senate. However given the zombie electorate I'd be too worried that she would end up in office.
