I think they are bitter that Ron didn't run as a Libertarian in 2012.
still, a 3rd party should not be ruled out. a new 3rd party without the doctrinaire policies of the LP. Libertarian on social issues, except for abortion, with a strong emphasis on states rights. non-interventionism in foreign policy, maybe a mixture between Ron and Rand views.
I still have a hard time believing that Rand or any other Libertarian leaning candidate will ever win a GOP nomination. CPAC sure, maybe even a few states this time. imagine if Rand would at least do the basics of a part set-up, if only to scare the establishment.
in some states potential GOP candidates seek the conservative or other 3rd party nomination, to force the GOP to endorse them.
