Libertarian Gary Johnson in double digits in race against Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump: poll

just donated 100, time to take ron paul sign gig to the streets and get that additional 4% plus he some states already polling 15%, we can get him on the debate stage and win with the likes of big gov lovers trump/hillary.

What are the two digits, zero and one?
more like polling 15% in some states and 4% more to get him on the debate stage with big gov lovers hillary and hillary with a phallus(trump) aka big government lovers . a real solid option unless you love big gov lovers trump/hillary. he has a strong chance to get on the stage and if he is on stage a great chance to win and beat these motherfuckers. the race hasn't even started yet and he could be on the stage for first debate and all of them as his numbers rise as many don't like trump/hillary. the numbers are great for gary getting on stage and exposing them to americans.

Don't get Hustled by Hillary, or Taken by Trump....
Vote for Freedom and Liberty! Give Gary the Bump!

EXACTLY , VOTE GARY JOHNSON 2016 , just need to get him 4% points in some other states and he will be on that stage exposing them and his numbers will rise, perot got 19% so on numbers we are not far behind. I plan on sign waving and getting folks to support gary not hillaries with hair pieces.

just called denver 7 , made good points she agreed, so let us see in next week if they report real news , GARY JOHNSON 2016 not the circus acts trump/hillary.

And of course if this happens and Hillary wins the idiots in the GOP will blame the LP for their loss rather than the fact that they picked a crappy candidate.

And Fox gets its credibility back because this time they actually denied that the GOP's biggest loser was 'electable'.

They're doing some brilliant sheep herding. Gotta give them that.

So how do we turn this game against them? Have they miscalculated? Do we have an unexpected way to put the LP over the top, preferably stealing Clinton support to do it?

These Trolls have us much too busy telling the truth about Trump. Clinton is the cockroach we need to be exposing from here on out.

Assuming we can distract people from this soap opera.

BTW - Johnson has not yet secured the L party nomination. Last I checked, McAfee and Austin Peterson had polled well following a LP debate with Johnson. I expect Johnson will likely win the LP nomination, but it's not a done deal as of the moment.

The Libertarian Parties of Mississippi and Alabama did manage to put on a rather good debate in the second hour. It was actually a real debate this time too. Each candidate was asked the same question and given time to compare and contrast their answers. The moderators didn’t try to pit one candidate against another or turn it into a reality show. ...

Gary Johnson won the straw poll with a resounding 38% of the vote.
John McAfee came in a respectable second place in the straw poll with 26% of the vote.
Austin Petersen managed a healthy third place finish with 17% of the vote.

I was about convinced that you could give the major party nominations to Beezelbub and Satan, and the American electorate would dutifully go about trying to figure out which one was the 'lesser evil'.

Maybe there's hope for this nation after all. Maybe.

I expect Johnson to win the nomination again, in light of his poll showing. I suspect he dropped from 6% to 1% last time due to the usual third party syndrome (no money or enough name recognition to get the "free" media). This time, given the high unfavorables of the major party frontrunners, and his pursuing an innovative lawsuit against the CPD to ensure getting included in the debates, Johnson should control more of the news cycle in order to protect his poll standings.

P.S.: My lengthier views on Johnson and the LP's potential breakthrough are blogged below:

Well, whoever.

Personally, I think Johnson would be a good choice.

But it's a protest vote, doesn't really matter who it is.

They could nominate just about anybody and I'd still vote for him.

I have no doubt that Gary Johnson can get to double digits, if you include the number(s) on the other side of the decimal place.

I don't understand the Gary hate that some around here have. Not saying it's impossible to justify, I just don't get it. I don't see him as a "true" Libertarian but I don't see myself as one either. I disagree with him on abortion (but a president's view on abortion isn't applicable to the office) and a few little things but nothing that would ever cost him my vote.

Just like 2012 this year I will again vote for Johnson, assuming he is the nominee. All you Trump Protest voters, please consider doing the same. :)

Best thing about this is that if he continues to poll like that there is going to be a third party at the debates. They need what, 5% nationally to qualify ?

I do not see how he can do better (than 1%) against Clinton & Trump than Romney and Obama or get even a third or a quarter of the votes that Perot did.

If you took every serious east coast RINO who's vowed not to support Trump that's not even 0.0000000000001%.

Cruz has already been caught jacking around with a Delaware poll on Drudge.

The Bernie Sanders polls where Sanders is in double digits over every single candidate are total BS.

I'm not a Trump voter myself, I'm more of a "I've got better things to do with my election day than vote for a giant douche or a turd sandwich" type. I don't necessarily hate Gary Johnson either (voted for him last election), I just know a non-charismatic choke artist when I see one. People who think that Gary Johnson could be elected president are people who haven't come to terms with the nature of the American electorate.

Oh, I don't believe we'll see a 3rd party candidate become the Prez anytime soon, let alone Gary, the point is to gain awareness and popularity of the 3rd parties by actively voting for them on election day now.

I'm a pretty busy dude, but if my kid can have a decent politician to vote for one day in the General Election, it's worth an hour of my morning once every 1400+ days. Know what I mean?

Well said. I, too, do not understand the Gary Johnson hate here. I voted for Johnson in 2012, and will likely do so again.
