Ah, this takes me down memory lane. This thread is the same dead horse being whooped all over town just like Rand's. Many people have chilled about Ron's own son "throwing him to the wolves" and the same will happen in this instance. Knee jerk reactions and hysteria as if this was our first time to the rodeo. I can understand folks' initial dismay just like the last go round but what good is it to log 50 posts trying to send one's blood pressure through the roof. If you don't see another email from Ron or Rand asking for money for Bills, there's your answer. I wasn't going to get overly worked up over this race until I saw one of the heavy weight PACs lining up for him. I'm not sinking money into Dennis because he doesn't have a prayer. Bills has a legit shot but can't depend on the liberty movement only for a win. We clearly didn't come through for Schiff as far as the fundraising we did for Rand.
This isn't as bad as Rand's, imho, because it doesn't come amidst growing enthusiasm, crowds and success at conventions, by his own son, while Ron was pretty clearly (to me, per his TX gOP speech that very day) still fighting for all he could get and expecting to be placed in nomination for a speech at convention. In this case it comes after many attributed statements saying Ron isn't going even to be nominated onto the floor from various people. But it still is while delegates are fighting for their seats to nominate Ron and goes back on a promise Bills made when he was pitching a bunch of Paul delegates for the state GOP primary endorsement.
If he makes it to senator, he might make a decent one as Senators go; the bar is very low. However, I'm shifting my interest elsewhere.
