July4patriot, Charles Alan Dyer, Oathkeeper - ARRESTED

I want to hear more about the child abuse charges.

As I understand:

Ex-girlfriend accuses him of raping their daughter with considerable force. You know how angry ex-gf's are. They will say anything to see you go down. One or two labs came to the scene where the rape occured and collected DNA samples. The results showed that there was absolutely no chance of Dyer ever being there. You would think that after what she described as a violent rape, that there would be at least a hair or fingerprint. Nope. Not a trace.

I've heard that the judge wouldn't allow the lab results to be submitted as evidence, and they refuse to drop the charges.

Don't quote me on that though.

It seems strange to me and wouldn't withstand appeal, so I'm confused. Anyway, not every rape kit is able to recover DNA evidence from the offender, especially if some time has passed. That's the part I'm most curious about, because the other weapons stuff seems more like an ideological difference about the role of government.

since he ran - without a plan - and got caught - he's pretty much screwed now - unless he can present a compelling case for him running

Speaking as an individual, not as the President of Oath Keepers, I also have this to say:

While it is important to set the record straight about Charles not joining Oath Keepers and taking his own chosen path, I do also want to state that I believe he is innocent of the sexual abuse charges he currently faces. While Charles was still on active duty, back in 2009, he told me he had recently discovered his wife (now his ex-wife) was hanging out with drug addicts in Oklahoma, which greatly upset Charles since he was concerned about his daughter's safety. Charles told me that immediately after he insisted that his estranged wife stop bringing their daughter around people like that, she and her relatives tried to get Charles in trouble with the Marine Corps by outing him as the "masked Marine" on Youtube, calling his command and accusing him of making seditious statements and conduct unbecoming of a service member. That attempt to get him in trouble with his command failed, but it does show a pattern of his ex-wife and her family trying to use the law as a weapon against Charles. As a criminal defense lawyer, I have seen many examples of disgruntled ex-wives using trumped up sexual abuse allegations as the "nuclear option" in custody disputes. I believe that is what happened to Charles. I believe he is completely innocent of the charges against him, and not only in the sense of being innocent until proven guilty, but also in the absolute sense of not having done it. Given what Charles told me about the past behavior of his ex-wife and her family, and after having looked Charles in the eye, I find the sexual abuse allegations ludicrous. - Stewart Rhodes

Godspeed to my militia brother in arms!

May your flight from the agents of tyranny be swift and silent, and may you obtain the justice and peace to which every sovereign American is entitled from God above.

Read the whole thread here and over at awrm. The weapons charge scenario was that he was held for months in prison being charged with owning a stolen grenade launcher that was actually an airsoft replica. It took months for ATF to figure that out (right...).

Here's what happens if you are a cop and you actually do violate firearms law by stealing your dept's weapons and then selling them.... Pretty much nothing. If a civilian had done this they would rot in jail for many years. Compare what happened to this guy to what happened to Charles over an airsoft replica.

BEND, Ore. -- In the eyes of many Redmond residents, Larry Prince stole the trust of an entire community when he was caught stealing and selling dozens of his own station's firearms.
On Thursday, the ex-Redmond police lieutenant learned his fate for the crimes: 90 days in jail.
Prince was also sentenced to five years of probation, and he's forced to give up all guns and ammunition and all of his police certification.

Why would they let him go, we all know they could have nailed him as they can nail anyone they really want to regardless of guilt. Why did they let him go?

This is the first I've heard of this, and I'm kinda confused.

Let me see if I have my facts right.

1) He gets accused of sexual abuse
2) They find a grenade launcher while investigating and charge him with illegal destructive device
3) Takes them 4 months and a criminal trial to find out it's not a grenade launcher, it's an airsoft gun
4) A year and a half later there's still not a shred of evidence against him for the sexual abuse and they aren't dropping the charges

Did I miss something?

Yes
Death threats against him in front of his family. Offers to drop the charges if he works for the Govt as a snitch.

There are parts of this story that are not adding up correctly.

This reminds me of the D.C. madame in that she had evidence about corruption. I hope this lady gets her evidence published now. That will take away any incentive the feds might have to create some unfortunate "accident".

I think this might be the most recent post on july4patriot. According to a group that supports him on facebook, his appeal was denied. I believe he was serving 30 to life. I'm not sure if there's anything else he can do. His people say his lawyers were bad. IDK. He did a butt ton of research on cases and what not. Does anybody else have any information?
