As superficial and petty as this is, from a marketing standpoint, it is important.

Look to entertainment for the answer. Most performers would be considered shorter than average, but the public never knows it. There are plenty of tricks. And at the same time, those tricks can be used by the media against a candidate. They've already intentionally done it to Rand several times.

On camera, everything is relative. Never stand next to taller people. Watch the camera angles. Sitting is usually best, but check the chair heights!

In many of your favorite bands, everyone in the band is under 5'6". Criteria for joining the band is being relatively the same height.

If you really think that being short makes someone less qualified to be President, I feel the need to point out that the shortest and tallest Presidents were James Madison (5'4'') and Abraham Lincoln (6'5'') respectively. Yet, among those two, which one governed as if he had a Napoleon Complex?

Oh, I think I get it. Besides having to be a natural born citizen or citizen of the US, at least 35 years old, a resident within the US for at least 14 years, and someone who hasn't already been elected twice, there's also the secret requirement in the secret constitution that says the person has to be tall enough to be president; right? It's kinda like the 4th directive in Robocop, which was classified, until Robocop found out what it was after violating it and being explained what was happening to him.
