Height matters today when it did not before, I mean presidential campaigns have turned into reality TV, complete with drama, and gossip. American's are choosing their candidates based on the image presented to them by media, and pundits. Some choose by physical appearance alone (Blacks voting for Obama for being black!).

However I don't think his height is so severe, he can do what actors do and just be some good lifts to bring him up to 5'11 or something. The issue isn't being "shorter" but rather "comically" short I suppose. Heights vary but if someone is 5+ inches shorter than someone else, then it becomes a significant difference

He'd have to wear KISS platform boots to reach 5'11". I think the only issue with his height will come if he faces Hillary. Hillary and Rand are the same height, and she can wear heels, so any lifts Rand could wear wouldn't make him appear taller. If he faces another male, it won't be as big an issue.

Thats because Putin is built like a bulldog (re: stocky + sturdy + strong). Rubio, who's under 5'10" as well looks sturdy on TV as well.

IMO, the issue isn't Rand's height, but rather that he doesn't appear very sturdy/solid (because he doesn't work out enough).

Unlike height however, strength and mass/size can be increased rather easily. It just takes an hour or so of weightlifting 3 days/week

There's plenty of time between now and 2015/2016 for Rand to add 10-15 lbs of muscle and look 10x more alpha than he does today. Here's to hoping he does so.
