How many letters are you willing and able to write?

  • Poll closed .
Looks like its paying off in the polls...were at 7% now. Keep up the good work... sent out mine last week.

and 3 dozen more are sent out. :D I have less than 250 left. Who's with me??? :D

Send more letters!

Greetings All,

I'll be addressing envelopes today and will get another 100 letters out by Tuesday. I should be able to get a total of 250 done by the end of the week.

Anyone heard a reply yet? And I'm sure this has been answered, but is this mailing list of registered Republicans or Republicans who actually voted in the last election?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think this list is a list of independents.

the 700k names are registered "no party". As see in the sample letters on page 1. They can re-register as republican at the caucus. :D

Our Meetup here in Jacksonville, FL has sent 1500 letters to Iowa this go around and around 12000 (twelve thousand) letters locally.

We’ve also handed out over 60,000 slim jims.

Our next letter stuffing event is scheduled for 12/4 and we will probably get another 700 to 1000 more ready to go.

wow! Great! If you have a LOT of Florida names, put together a Florida letter writing campaign thread, and model it off of this one. :D

Hey all, I'm living in Germany (from Atlanta) and I've been working on a letter. If you have any comments, please let me know. . .

Dear _____,

I've been living abroad for many years working as an English teacher. I grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta but after university wanted to see the world and ended up in Korea, Japan, India, and now Germany. I have seen many things and different ways of life, but now after a decade of living abroad has passed, I must say that America is the best place to live in the world. Four years ago I spent the summer in Iowa working on a small farm and it was one of the best experiences of my life. For me, it was the real America, its heart and soul.

Unfortunately over the last ten years, I have seen my country go from one of the most respected countries in the world to one of the least. Our moral high ground has been lost. The USA is now seen as simply the Big Bully. The people of the world still love Americans but they are disgusted by what our government has done in the name of spreading democracy. Whenever I go to a dinner party or meet new people and they ask me where I am from, I cannot proudly say, America. Instead, I look down and mutter, USA.

But several months ago, I learned of Ron Paul, a Texas Republican Congressman running for President. His foreign policy--no undeclared wars, no policing the world, no nation-building, no empire-building; his economic policy--stop devaluing the dollar, stop subsidizing big oil and other corporations by giving them tax incentives to move overseas, put in place true free trade policies that keep jobs at home, keep factories and manufacturing plants in the USA. Now that is something to be proud about.

Now Ron Paul is someone to be proud of. No other country in the world besides America could produce such a champion of liberty and freedom. He is one of the few silver linings that can be found in the darkness of the last few years. A Ron Paul presidency would immediately restore our standing in the world as a nation devoted to liberty and democracy. No doubt they would rush to our aid to help solve the conflicts in Iraq and the Middle East.

I urge you to consider a vote for Dr. Ron Paul. Our country is in a very precarious situation. If our government continues its present foreign policy, we won't have any friends left and may well trigger World War Three. Our current foreign policy has made us isolated. We can't solve the problem of terrorism alone.

Recently, there was a poll called, "Who would the world vote for?" and their answer was resounding: Ron Paul. Let the good Doctor bring our nation back together again so we can once again be that beacon of freedom and that shining light on the hill.

I would omit the world vote because I believe some might take offense at the prospect of the world deciding an American president.

Just got my list of 30 addresses. I hope to have them done in the next 72 hours. If I can do them as quickly as I think, I will put in for another 30 before the teaparty.

Before we're done, everyone in Iowa will know who Ron Paul is and what he stands for. :D

Is anyone else having a problem getting a list of names? Myself +2 are eager to start. =)

Took me a few days to get motivated, but I started writing my letters tonight. That Des Moines Register thread cheezed me off enough to get the pen in hand.
