Hello!
Hi,
Even though I live in California, I sent Ron Paul money many years ago for his Texas Congressional campaign when his political enemies were trying to gerrymander him out of existence. I liked his message then and I still do and I knew back then we needed people like him in Congress.
I will be 50 next summer. In my entire adult life, I've always felt like there is something wrong with our economic system. In the last 15 years it's gotten a heck of a lot worse. The savers are punished for saving and living within their means, and the spendthrifts and gamblers get tax breaks and bailouts. I'm really sick of it.
No other presidential candidate appeals to me because they all just want to tweak the system around the edges, glue this, patch that. We need this country to go in a whole new direction, or maybe I should say, back in our original direction.
The people who have organized fund-raisers for Ron Paul have done a mindboggling job, and I know they will outdo themselves yet again.
I was listening to Joe Scarborough today discuss with RP how other members of Congress keep asking RP how he raises the funds. RP is right, it's not some magic technique, it's the message. The other members of Congress just don't get it. It's not about ME ME ME and how much money will you give ME so I can keep my lucrative cushy spot here in Congress.
