Hello All! Another new member here from Texas!
Disenfranchised with the establishment, and searching for a different philosophy in politics, I stumbled upon the (L)ibertarian party and became a registered member. I'm not so much a supporter of the party any longer as I am a supporter of the philosophy. Through my research, I found one of the very few statesman I can relate to. Dr. Paul. I can't say enough about the man and have had the honor of meeting him @ Rice University.
On my spare time I've been reading and educating myself on the Austrian Theory of the business cycle, as well as keeping up with the problems of our foreign policies.
This is a great site as I've been lurking here for the past month. Looks like I found another home.

That's where I grew up, although I recently emigrated mainly for political reasons to Ireland (not a perfect country, but only one third of the income tax I'd otherwise had to pay). I classify myself as a conservative libertarian. I've been fighting socialism since the age of 10 when I got interested in politics.
