Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

Hello all, I'm from Ohio. Never really was into politics until about 2 years ago when I, a common citizen, seem there was a serious problem with our financial system, and no regulating authority was doing anything about it. I'm not to happy with mainstream media or Republican/Democratic leadership of this country. I'm pretty much on a quest for knowledge at this point. I finally decided to join this fine forum. Seems to be a wealth of information here. And very glad to be here.

Welcome. Lots of info to be had here if you keep an open mind.

Greetings fellow Freedom lovers. Thank you for allowing me to become a member of the forum.

I've always held the U.S. Constitution in the highest regard and the current state of the Union blows my mind. I'm disappointed in how far we, as citizens, have allowed corruption in our society and outright distortion of the lofty ideals of the founding fathers to progress.

I believe that the people have been tricked, pushed, trained, and outright manipulated by the powers that be. I believe big money has infiltrated our government and media on every level and the best interest of the people are generally not in mind. I believe we as citizens have been dumbed down and trained from birth to accept without question. I believe we are intentionally divided and distracted by our differences and more focus should be placed on what we as citizens have in common.

I believe local government should have much more influence in ones life than a federal government. I believe government should serve the people instead of the other way around.

Ron Paul is a breath of hope, as are all of you.
.
Again, Thank you for allowing me to become a member of your community.

Hey everyone, I had been lurking for a few months, I figured it was time to join.

I first heard about Ron Paul in '07 on another message board I post on. They were all crazy about him, but I wasn't really interested in politics at the time Dr. Paul was running. I was neocon-leaning and apathetic. I'm in my early 20s so I guess that's the norm. In early '08 I stumbled across some Peter Schiff videos and that really opened my eyes. Since then I've been a full blown liberty-lover. I just picked up "End the Fed". Great book.

I'm glad to finally be a member here.

We're glad you are, too! Welcome!

I've been a member of the forums for a while now but I never did this, so....

My name is Riley and I live in Houston, Texas.

For awhile now I've dedicated a lot of my time to the liberty movement..
I've even recently began my own website and youtube channel to help spread the message as best I can.
Site: Liberty Planet
YouTube: RileyE104

Please visit them if you have time..
On the site there's a forum there and I'm working on the whole site every day now.

Hi everyone! I'm Mel from Sacramento, and thanks to Ron Paul I have started educated myself in my least favorite subject -- "Economics". Managed to get two college degrees without ever taking an economics course -- the most important course in maintaining our Liberty.

I am currently semi-retired and look forward to contributing to the election of pro-Liberty candidate to preserve America for future generations!

Welcome Mel! Browse around. You are going to find a mixed bag here. Lots of really well informed, intelligent people from diverse backgrounds and political ideologies.

Check out the campaigns we are supporting. Since you are in Cali, as am I, you might interested in checking the Chuck DeVore campaign. He is running against Boxer.

Have fun.

Welcome to you too, Riley!

I'm an instructor of US History at a college in Texas, and found this forum while searching for info on Debra Medina (candidate for Texas governor). Needless to say, I've since decided to support her candidacy, and I've added this forum to my regular rounds through the web when searching for news and perspectives.

Welcome 1836er. It's nice to know there are at least some educators who aren't socialist in their leanings.

I'm Jordan. I'm a rapper and MC and in my free time I like to sing opera.

I've always been libertarian, but its not so much about Paul's position on politics as much as it is his economic understanding. We don't need another politician, we need an economist!

Hi to all: Very active in politics. I have flown my Libertarian flag in Ohio where I grew up, Colorado, where I went to college, D.C. where I lived for 4 years, and now Arizona where I have been for 1 year. I would not say I am a committed Libertarian but tend more towards "fusionism" a la Frank Meyer. In fact, in the last couple years I have been trying to reconcile Conservatism and Libertarianism. Still working on that one...
I brought Ron Paul to speak on my campus in 2003 right after the start of the Iraq War, so, long time fan.
Good to be here!
