hey just a suggestion why cant we just make a week long money bomb? it always looks bad that we cant hit the target...

or we can run a marketing campaign that will last for the entire month. i think the theme that everyone should donate even just 20 dollars, 1million from facebook likes = to 20 million. if we can drive this mentality that everybody gives 20 dollars on their own every month thatll be something.

we can make commercials stressing the fact of what 20 dollars can buy and what's at stake.

The Give Me Liberty Money Bomb lasted for about a week and we managed to raise $1.2 million.

This one will continue, I'm sure of it.

I think it only looks bad when a few people get unnecessarily down about it For a Sunday it's doing exceptionally well. I can't contribute until tomorrow so keep pushing the momentum. People will come around.

Okay, going to send out an email to 14k+ later on tonight basically saying the money bomb is being extended until 4/20. Or do we extend to 4/17?

Going to change the messaging on the site to have MB extended date and add your content copy and include that copy in the emails and twitters that get sent out.

Working on the polling for the contest so we can vote on a winner for video and avatar, hopefully will have that up soon and maybe we can have the voting period between now and the next day or two while the money bomb goes on.



Yea I agree with this, I also think he or someone in the campaign should make available a video, which would have more impact asking people to donate while giving a heads up on what happened in Colorado/Minnesota over this past week as a sign of moving in a positive direction with the delegate strat.

Was going to ask you guys if we should extend the money bomb to 4-17 or 4-20? Didn't get a chance to send out an email this morning, thinking about doing so and updating the site to say the money bomb has been extended so people that come into work tomorrow or check their email in the mornings/lunch-time, as people do will see that their donations count towards reaching 2.5M this week for Texas/CA campaign media buys.

I'm not going to get into it now, but I've been making some notes on some lessons learned and one that we should have considered when picking a date is that MBs should be held at a date and time when Ron Paul related sites see the most traffic (typically weekdays). While people are engaged on the net they are more likely to see something is going on and they should donate.

Just curious, any headway on the voting?
