In-It-To-Win-It Money Bomb - Planning & Promotion - Goal: $2M+ in donations on April 15

How did Santorum do it up until now then?

He may well have had more positive returns than Dr. Paul, but even if he didn't... well, Santorum went into debt. I have heard nothing about Dr. Paul's campaign going into debt, and I seem to recall Paul saying that he would never let that happen, so...

Edit: Changing the name on the day of the event is amateurish. The campaign needed to pick a name and stick with it.

I personally liked 'In It To Win It'. It was catchy.

If you are willing to do so you can search within areas of your neighborhood to contact previous donors who have donated to Ron Paul. You could try to trace it back to 08 too. There aren't a lot a lot of Paul donors in my area code but I'm willing to try to call and ask for a donation.

You can probably find their numbers on yellow pages or whatever, but it's better to probably send them an e-mail.

Anything.

It could also be because they are almost out of money.

Running a Presidential campaign is expensive.

Edit: Actually, does anyone know the finance situation of Dr. Paul's campaign? The only data I can find is months old.

Yeah campaigns are expensive, but it didn't cost them a dime for us to put together a site & contact tens of thousands of people. Like I said, why not take advantage of the FREE support‽

In an interview some time back, didn't Tate say something abouit "Hording cash for Tx and Ca"?

Look's like we will break $700,000.00 sometime during the evening hours tonight!!!

Ron Paul needs to personally write a letter extending the Money Bomb thru his Campaign Events this week, ie. until midnight Thursday.

And for God's sake, will someone in the YFRP movement tell the speakers at each rally this week not just to talk about Delegate Strategy, but to ask the 1,000's of attendees to go to the Official Campaign website and make a Donation, even if it is only $10 or $20.12.

The Campaign really needs NEW Donors very badly.....

Orenbus lessons learned (lesson #1) - Don't start drinking the night before a money bomb. :o

Added ticker to http://www.intowin2012.com/

Working on the polling for the contest so we can vote on a winner for video and avatar, hopefully will have that up soon and maybe we can have the voting period between now and the next day or two while the money bomb goes on.

Yea I agree with this, I also think he or someone in the campaign should make available a video, which would have more impact asking people to donate while giving a heads up on what happened in Colorado/Minnesota over this past week as a sign of moving in a positive direction with the delegate strat.

Was going to ask you guys if we should extend the money bomb to 4-17 or 4-20? Didn't get a chance to send out an email this morning, thinking about doing so and updating the site to say the money bomb has been extended so people that come into work tomorrow or check their email in the mornings/lunch-time, as people do will see that their donations count towards reaching 2.5M this week for Texas/CA campaign media buys.

I'm not going to get into it now, but I've been making some notes on some lessons learned and one that we should have considered when picking a date is that MBs should be held at a date and time when Ron Paul related sites see the most traffic (typically weekdays). While people are engaged on the net they are more likely to see something is going on and they should donate.

I didn't do anything compared to you guys that put it all together but it does kind of suck to spend hours making a video and sleepless nights promoting "In It To Win It" only to have people follow me around and comment on every post that it's a "scam 3rd party website" because it's not the "official" money bomb. Oh well, I still think everything you have done has helped make people aware of the money bomb that wouldn't have known otherwise.

Who said that? You have a link?

Not just 1 link all links. We would appreciate it.

Grassroots picked the theme. We just used the Date and Theme that was discussed and won the poll vote here on forums a few weeks back so that's what we went with.

Maybe what should have happened though is someone should have contacted the campaign directly after we chose the theme to tell them this is the MB date and theme we are going with hopefully it doesn't conflict with whatever else you guys were thinking about for April.

Sometimes I think the official campaign monitors these threads to take their ques off what we do other times it seems like they aren't paying attention at all, in some cases such as this one it's better to take the guessing out of it. We had someone make this contact to the official campaign for the NOBP MB, so it could have just been that the theme name wasn't communicated until after their web team did all the work to promote "For Real Reform Money Bomb" or "Tax Day Money Bomb" or the other names they gave it lol it seemed between the site and the emails they were even confused internally what the branding should be for the MB. Or in the end maybe they just didn't like the idea of going with II2WI as theme name on the official site, who knows? I do agree though that whoever is doing their web work, online marketing and promotion is doing work that is a bit amateurish especially of late and for what they are charging, their web consulting company does some great things sometimes and other times (and most recently) not so great things, Tate or any Ron Paul endorsed liberty candidate that has a budget to work with, if your reading this Dave and I are looking work.
