I love my brother, but he's so stupid.

Having been overweight after/during being pregnant--it sucks. It sucks a lot. And it is a choice. If you want to make a comparison, it's harming yourself versus harming someone else--this person that I referred to was/is harming herself and another person. Harming yourself is less of an offense, so I'll agree on that, even though you probably shouldn't. Take care of yourself.

That was the only point I was making. I'm not ultra-PC about it, I recognize that I am overweight, and I plan to work on it. But there's still a difference between harming yourself and harming someone else, which is all I was saying.

I don't waste my time on American women

Why is that? Maybe because the foreign ones are more attentive and obedient until they get a ring on their finger--then divorce you after they've become legal while seizing your assets to send back to their families in third world countries?

You know--I can't help but think that most men are cursed with stupidity because of what Eve did in the garden of Eden. And no--I'm not a feminist, but I can certainly understand their logic at times. :p

What he needs is some good marketing--he sounds like a really nice guy.

He is a nice guy. He's just really naïve and vulnerable when it comes to women. This is his second marriage, the first one only lasted about 7 years.

Seemed like a reasonable question to me. Just curious. Maybe I would if I were a chick.

What's reasonable about asking me why I love my brother Ronin? Why do you love your Mother or sister? --plz-- Sounds like you just jumped into the thread without reading the OP.

Yeah, my brother's are dumb too, bless their hearts.

He sounds like a good man, he won't be lonely for long.

:eek::D
Well, it was a cobbler.

Yeah, lol--I told him to stay away those chubby nurses. The last one he married was a nurse too.

Who said anything about third world countries?

You can't deny radical feminism has a pretty strong grip on America. There are still some good ones, but they're too hard to find. My uncle, for instance, is a bank auditor and he married a lawyer from Colombia. She quit her job to come to America and they're still married today. There are too many fish in the sea to take your chances in America these days. There will probably come a time when men start to realize this.

The problem is that God is being wiped from society and people are becoming less and less adherent as to why they even exist. This isn't happening just in the U.S., this is happening all over the world. Thinking that women not raised in the U.S. are a better quality of wife simply because they were raised in a country where women are considered a lessor being with less rights than men isn't going to guarantee that once they get here they won't adapt to our way of life either. Why do you think that foreign women are all looking for American men?

I think your brother dodged a bullet cos had your brother fallen for the first scam, he would have continued to fall for other smaller scams with the same in an attempt to redeem himself and not look stupid. Sorta works like how casinos make money, except in this case the house wins 100% of the time.

Just for giggles, a famous Nigerian comedian made a music video about the whole 419 Nigerian email scam thingy. Mugu means a gullible person, 419 means the code in the Nigeria legal system that deals with financial scams and Oyibo for the most part means westerner.

Just so nobody becomes a mugu, there is a craigslist version of this scam where someone(the scammer) would buy your item on craigslist and instead of writing a cheque for the exact amount of the item, they will write a cheque for $5000. They will tell you to cash it, take your portion and then send the rest to him or his friend in the US whose having a birthday or some celebration. You cash the cheque, send him the item and the surplus cash to him/his friend. Later the bank will send you a letter telling you there is a problem with the cheque and they now want their money back. The problem now is that you have sent the item, the surplus and possibly spent your portion of the cheque.

Yes--this is what I've read, but something that's eerily strange in your post is the word "cos" that you use and also the way you spell the word "cheque"--this was also something that was mentioned when they described the scammers. Not saying that you're one of them, but wow--you're saying that you're from the Midwest--so I must be mistaken about that too. But thanks for the info--because my intentions were to expose some of these scammers that have saturated almost every internet site out there today. It's unbelievable. :)

And they also say that this is just a job to these scammers and not just the Nigerian ones, but there's also Russian and other countries doing this as well. This is why it's so dangerous for those who don't understand the potential dangers of going into internet sites without being careful and wise.

You don't know much about other cultures, do you? You just assume that all of them treat women as "lesser beings." No need to learn why such social structures exist. By telling me that foreign women are only gold-diggers and are only good wives because they are treated as "lesser beings" is to essentially say that American feminism is good because American women don't have this problem. Well, if that's the case, then sorry, but I'm going to choose the women WITH that "problem."

Most of them are looking for American men because they assume they have money and having an American man with an American passport opens up their travel options. Not all of them want to actually go live in America. There are quite a few American men who don't reside in America.

Way to think outside the box and not group all foreign women into the same category. /s

When I first saw the thread title I was like...

"TER quoting the bible again? No way it really says that!"

I know what you are trying to say but its coming out in broad strokes. You are probably looking for a traditionalist type of woman, someone who believes that the changes are complimentary and not equal in the sense that they are just the same except for the stuff between the legs, someone who has no problem being feminine and lets you wear the pants in the relationship without being totally submissive. I say this because you can still go to Columbia and you will still find feminist influenced woman and at the same rate, you can still find a lot of traditionalist women in the US.

My guess is that you are thinking 3rd world country and the picture that comes to you mind is some malnourished African woman with flies all over their body but that not the case. There are loads of 3rd world women in Asia, Africa, Europe (I think the -stan countries are considered 3rd world) and south America who I bet would probably fit your ideal features in a mate and there are just about as many in the US that would fit the role too.

The problem is that the foreign women many be traditionalist when you marry them but their stay in the US may change them. Most people are seduced by power and there is no telling what would happen when she comes over to the states and sees all the power she now has.

I live in the midwest now, but I grew up in Nigeria. This is why I sometimes use the English spelling instead of American ones. I have actually noticed that I interchange it every once in a while. It depends on my mood and if I decide to ignore the spell check that day. But you are correct, this is the a full time job for some of the scammers and they keep doing it until they hit it big.

The scammers rationalize their act by believing only greedy people fall for it, so in their mind if you fall for it, you are probably a bad guy who is trying to make millions by helping some dictator steal from Africans or in your brother's case a 60+ yr old trying to marry someone half his age. Those 2 are trying to get something they did not deserve and for that deserve their loss.

Anything to help em sleep at night :)

I have no idea what you're talking about. Like I said, not all women are looking to move to the United States.

Well, we're a rich country here and these oppressed third world countries all want a piece of whatever they can get and any way they can get it. They're all trying to get in so they can have a piece of the pie. Whether it's through scamming lonely desperate people or marrying rich American men. I can understand why they're doing it, but it can't be justified in the eyes of God. It's whatever people want to believe and yes--they'll try to justify hurting people so they can get their greedy lil third world paws on some American dollars too.

You mean the same way you did American women? :)

I said there are still some good ones. Don't try to flip this on me, though. You clearly don't think there's any such thing as a good, upstanding woman who's not at least in some ways like an American woman. Sounds a lot like cultural bias to me, tbh. Why don't you think there are good foreign women who are not either just as bad as American feminists, gold diggers, or a victim of patriarchal oppression?
