BREITBART NEWS 24 May 2024

NEW YORK (AP) — Documentary filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, an Oscar-nominee who made food and American diets his life’s work, famously eating only at McDonald’s for a month to illustrate the dangers of a fast-food diet, has died. He was 53.

Spurlock died Thursday in New York from complications of cancer, according to a statement issued Friday by his family.

“It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan,” Craig Spurlock, who worked with him on several projects, in the statement. “Morgan gave so much through his art, ideas, and generosity. The world has lost a true creative genius and a special man. I am so proud to have worked together with him.”

Wasn't his documentary proven to be a complete hoax? He was apparently an alcoholic and that probably played a key role in all of the weight he gained.

There was a movie made called Fat Head (2009) that came out as a response to Supersize Me.

This guy ate at fastfood restaurants for a month. But he skipped the sugary soda and high carb options, focusing on the higher fat meat options. He lost weight and was in better health at the end of the month according to his medical tests.

The ingredients in a lot of fast food is pretty atrocious, not something you want to eat regularly. But I found out recently that some of these "upscale" places like Shake Shack are actually worse.. longer lists of ingredients, fillers, thickeners, stabilizers, etc..
