But I would like to do something other than send in money. I've heard some people mention writing letters to folks in the early primary states. Where can I get a list of people to send letters to? I know that whoever has that information needs to be very careful that people don't misuse it. I think that a letter from an actual person with a handwritten address on the envelope could be an effective way to get the message out, though. I could afford the postage on a couple hundred letters if I knew who to send it to. Would it make sense to just get a bunch of addresses from a phone book or something?

Join a meetup in SC, NV, wherever, and they'll be able to supply you with a list of names and addresses.

I'm talking about sending letters to people who aren't already Ron Paul supporters. I meetup group would only tell me who's already on board the Ron Paul train. Where can I get a list of registered Republicans?

sad thing is here in texas we got a good shot, Kinky friedman got 13% of the vote as an independent and hes endorsed ron, then everyone here is pissed off at conventional republicans like rick perry who want the NAFTA super highway, and dont even care about our border.

ask Romney or McCain, I'm sure theyve got a list of every registered Republican

Wish I had that list too

That's the RNC Secret Weapon, they only give that to Pro War Candidates

That Debate left a bad taste in my mouth, they even censored Ron Paul when they re-aired it

Repeat after me....... Unfair and Fairlly Unbalanced....... Faux Newz sux

I have to admit that it kinda creeps me out when someone calls me or sends a letter and I don't know how they got my number or address. In a way, it would be almost anti-Ron Paul to even do that. But at the same time, I think a genuine personal effort from an individual is much more effective than any kind of mass mailing to: "Current Resident", or whatever.

You can start converting Kucinich supporters as he will not be on the ballot in TX

How many Kucinich supporters can we get to vote for Ron Paul in Texas?
Thanks constitutent: "hillertexas, we have open primaries. you choose your party on primary day."

Kucinich stays off the Texas ballot -- Updated
U.S. District Judge Lee Yeakel of Austin today ruled against Dennis Kucinich's bid to get on the Democratic presidential primary ballot in Texas. State party officials excluded Kucinich from the March 4 ballot because he had refused to sign a pledge to support all Democratic nominees. Yeakel upheld the party's decision.

Yeakel ruled that the Texas Democratic Party's right to set rules about who can associate with it outweighed Kucinich's free speech rights.

Yeakel said if Kucinich did not want to sign the Democratic Party's loyalty oath, he was free to run for president as a Republican, a third party candidate or as an independent.

Kucinich had signed the oath in his 2004 presidential bid but refused to do so this time. The oath would have required him to promise to "fully" support the party's presidential nominee if it was someone other than himself.

Kucinich attorney Donald McTigue of Columbus, Ohio, said the difference this time is the war in Iraq is much more prominent and that Kucinich did not want to back a nominee who would not promise to pull out of Iraq.

Democratic attorney Chad Dunn told Yeakel that the oath is not legally enforceable so anyone who signed it would be bound only by their own conscience to abide by it.

Democratic Chairman Boyd Richie said he would have been happy to put Kucinich on the ballot, but he said he did not have the power to ignore a rule established by the party at its convention.

The lawsuit was brought in Texas by Kucinich supporter Willie Nelson, who was not present at the hearing.

Kucinich also was not present. He was campaigning in Michigan, where he had been unable to get off the ballot after the Democratic National Committee stripped the state party of its delegates because it moved up its primary.

Some of you guys asked why my vote won't count in Texas. The reason why is because Texas doesn't have its primary until March and the nominee is usually already decided by then. I don't think Texas has ever had a decisive impact on the nominating process at all.

make sure ron still wins texas.
you guys need to make up for the last republican from texas you sent us

Willie Nelson support RP in Texas?

quote from post by Hillertexas:
"lawsuit was brought in Texas by Kucinich supporter Willie Nelson,"

Since Kucinich won't be on Texas ballot because he wouldn't sign loyalty oath to support whoever is Dems' candidate, do you suppose Willie Nelson would agree to support Ron Paul (at least in Texas) ?

That would be great.
And what about Kinky Friedman?

willie is a fascist and won't support RP (prove me wrong willie!)

(other)hillertexas, we have open primaries. you choose your party on primary day.

Oh yes you do! February 5th is going to leave the race just as complicated as it is now. If Ron Paul wins Texas, that will give him MAJOR clout at the convention.
