I am feeling awfully skeptic about the 2012 election. I have a good feeling that by 2012 the people will have caught on to Obama's drunken sailor spending and they might feel it's time to elect a constitutional conservative. This seems like good news, but it's not.

The problem is that Fox News seems to know this and they are changing their ways. While what they are preaching lately may be a good liberty-minded message, it's hard to believe it's real, especially with Hannity calling himself libertarian. And I fear when 2012 comes around, we will be faced with Republicans who claim to be just as conservative and supporting of liberty, when deep down they are not, but the people will fall for it anyway, which will make it harder for Ron Paul to actually stand out when it comes time to pick an opponent for Obama.

My biggest fear is Sarah Palin... she can't stay out of the media. I fear we will have her kept fresh in our minds for the next 3 years so when it comes time for a nominee, the people turn to her. She would NEVER beat Obama, which may be the plan to keep him in power by having her run against him.

Abandon all hope and be pleasantly surprised every morning you wake up living.

That's exactly the way the plan looks today. Hopefully, we can toss a monkey wrench in it. Right now, though, we should all be worried about 2010. That election will set the stage for 2012 in a big way.

That has got to be one of the most excellent posts I've seen from Kludge. Normally I'd never allude. This time around, keen sweetness, yet ridiculousness, has caught my eye. Forgive me.

jrich - We ask for candidates who are fiscally conservative and who recognize that the War on Terror is a scam. They give us the same candidates who a year ago were spending like liberals. FOX news tries to convince the masses that these same people ARE fiscally conservative.

We need to work to remind the people that the current crop of Republicans in Congress are NOT fiscally conservative even if they did vote no on the stimulus (which they could do because they knew it would pass anyway..). We need to be ready with PACs full of money for 2010 so we can call out any RINO Republican running for re-election. The masses (that I know anyway) are pissed and will not vote for a Republican who voted for TARP, Stimulus, etc.

We need to continue to edging FOX and the masses towards the realization that they've been duped by the War on Terror. It's a scam. It's a Constitution shredding power grab. We should not allow FEAR to take away our freedom.

I seriously doubt this country will even make it to the 2012 elections, so I don't worry too much about Fox News and Sarah Palin

This is how they hijacked the real Christian right. Now the plan is to hijack the Libertarians, Ron Paul supporters and anything 3rd party because the enemy is sly and always morphs.

Bush was as conservative as O is!

I think there was a good book written about this called "How the Neocon's
Hijacked the Right".

Hannity is an evil sob.

I'm not a fan of hers by any means, but next to Jindal, Huckabee, Romney, McCain, or God forbid Ghoulianni, she seems the least insane of the Republican frontrunners that get endorsements from neocon dipshits on Faux.

Honestly though, I think its about time the US stopped picking "the least insane" candidate.

It seems clear to me that the Neo-con are going to do everything they can to get Obama re-elected. That means they will field a whole host of Ron Paul's, but as we know we won't trust anyone of them.

The only question in my mind is whether China, Russia, and the middle east suddenly decide to buck American control for their own world empire dreams. The bankers will make money no matter where they end up. Will they head to Hong Kong or Dubai, who knows?
