No poll has been done since the Maddow fiasco, and I'd like to know how long I will be nearly clueless as to where Rand stands or how much impact the crisis has had.

I'd love to see a SurveyUSA poll (C-J and WHAS have split the cost in previous ones I think). I do not think there will be many for a long while, mostly because there are a lot of other primaries coming up and most of the reputable polling agencies will focus on them. I think we'll see plenty of polls on this race once the primary season is over.

No one is going to give the lead that Rasmussen gives. They seem very generous to any gop polling.

It seems like a cliffhanger that could last for weeks, maybe even more than a month.

If you think that Rasmussen is biased, then provide evidence. The fact is that Rasmussen is the most reliable pollster out there. I can't believe that so many on our side by into this far left crap.

Rasmussen 2008 Prediction: Obama 52% McCain 46%.

Actual Results: Obama 53% McCain 46%.

On another note, the poll numbers probably won't mean much until we get into September.

So true. I think in a week we'll be back on message, talking about how Jack Conway is on the wrong side of about 8 of the top 10 issues for Kentuckians.

Still it would be nice to see Rasmussen itself do another poll to compare it to one done just prior to all the Rand Paul CRA hysteria.

How have Kentuckians reacted to all this controversy, from what you know?

From what others are saying, it seems like this isn't a big deal and Rand is still way ahead. But I'm not sure how true this is.

Yes yes. I've seen that a million times. However, notice that Ramussen is the only pollster who has so far not done any final week polling in a single primary since then.

It's like he got one good result, and now he is fine with sticking with that result for another four years.

Rasmussen has Obama at -14. None of the other pollsters are anywhere near that.

It's more of just it doesn't pass the smell test to me then anything else.

I disagree. If Rand is leading now even after the media onslaught then I think that says a lot. Think about it...there's a good chance the attacks made have reached more Kentuckians on TV than might be reached in a whole campaign.

Those Sunday shows are a big deal and Rand was reamed on them nonstop. If Rand is still ahead by a lot then that shows that media--and future campaign ads-- probably don't matter much. If he's down then that is really bad but he has a chance to make it up in an anti-Obama year.

Think about it this way...they took they're best argument: Rand is "extreme" and got millions of dollars of free media attacks parroting that line--in depth-- by every media organization including places like Good Morning America etc.

If Rand is up then Jack Tough is S.O.L. barring--of course-- another media circus.

My humble prediction is Rand will be down next poll but it will be temporary.

One fact that seems to be over looked, is the fact that McConnell is from Louisville. Conway is from Louisville. and a rich boy with a rich Daddy. Do you really think that the BIG state of KY is going to want two Senators from Louisville? Louisville is much more liberal than the rest of the state, as is Lexington. Food for thought people. I think a lot of people who don't live in KY dont' really understand KY. Good Luck and you will learn a lot about our state this election cycle. :) While I am full Rand supporter, I have to laugh at those who think they know the general thought process of the people of our Commonwealth.

I believe the fact that Obama is fumbling on the Oil Spill, North Korea and the Mexican border willl work to Rand's advantage. People are waking up to Obama the Fake and Blamer. He is no leader and that is rapidly apparent even to the most dense. Of course this is my humble opinion!

Not the oil spill.....how do people in Kentucky feel about Rand saying the Obama administration sounds "un-American"?

My guess is Rand will have an even larger lead.

I think the racism charge that did not stick ends up backfiring.

Attacking Obama is good in KY.

Even with Obamamania in 2008, he was still beat by 16%.

I hope he doesn't overdo the Obama link. I am not from Kentucky, but if it were to backfire, Rand would severely be hurt.
