hillary's out!

Obama will be hard, I think I would vote for him if I wasn't as involved, just because when he speaks he gives hope, even if the words aren't there.

When he speaks he gives you hope? If you are voting based on a feeling then you shouldn't be voting at all.

He said that if he wasn't involved in politics he would vote for obama because hes a seller of words
Hes like an insurance salesman

Actually, the best comparison I can make is to Lenin. Both were big state, wealth distribution, etc and great speakers
(Lenin was better)

in boxing mixed-metaphor terms, the lagtime between when DRUDGE smacked HILLARY
a good one right side her jaw to the point where she actually reaches for the ropes to now
linger on the same, before finding the canvas... is looking like FOUR MONTHs!!! in light of both
WEST VIRGINIA and KENTUCKY, this has been one long lingering T.K.O that Barack Obama
has been seeking. Is her recourse now is to do sorta like what Ron Paul is doing now???

what's really neat about this ol' thread is when it was mainly posted to! i am into recycling!

Don't discount the Obama/Clinton ticket possibility. Barack had better plan on really beefing up the Secret Service a whole bunch. Folks around the Clintons seem to tend to have "mishaps".

exactly--not only that, but Obama/Clinton could end up splitting the Democratic party in two...not that I'd mind, as it'd then give the Republican party a chance to split into two also....though, I could be entirely wrong.

Either way, I don't think either will drop out until after June 3rd, when 100% of the primaries+caucuses are over....even then, it could be a long, hard, nasty fight that ends in a brokered convention.

OBAMA/CLINTON either mellows out them democrats or pushes away some indie voters or
it encapsules everything that is the new deal. i've been thinking for months barack obama
held out from cutting this all short because he can easily run again in 2012, and he does not
need to be a veep. hillary clinton is a political animal, bill clinton tried to give her a boost in
north carolina, and insted we have have half-kansan half-kenyan barack sweeping in the
solid south once more!!! hillary was even-steven in indiana yet with a slight edge. go figure!!!

Sorry you kinda lost me there.
Wouldn't an Obama/Clinton ticket unify the Dems?

Obama doesn't seem a little suicidal? ;)

Hillary just loaned her campaign another $6 million so I expect her to stick it out through the final primaries June 3rd. She does not have a shot without the super delegates- she is 156 delegates behind Obama with 217 to be decided on by then- and the primaries are not winner-take-all like the Republicans are. She would have to get 73% of the remaining votes in Puerto Rico. Oregon, Kentucky, West Virginia, Montana, and South Dakota. I don't see Obama naming her as VP but stranger things have happened. I don't think Edwards will get it either but I have no idea who would.

I'll go on record today, May 7th, as predicting that Obama taps Hillary as Veep. If he does, they're a mortal lock to win - McCain and [Romney][Chucklebee] don't stand a snowball's chance in hell of beating them. Obama will do it "to bring the Party together" around convention time, and Hillary will accept because she knows that she's one loose Jesus nut on Marine One or tainted tin of tuna away from the Presidency herself. And those FBI files she has probably have some most interesting reading on Obama himself.

I don't see her as being to settle for the #2 slot. She wants it all. But then again, she might see the VP slot as a stepping stone from the top spot in a future election (although few vice presidents get elected as president themselves). Maybe she will try to get the Speaker job and oust Pelosi.

monsieur drudge had said hillary C. was out of the race in january/february
even though it took until may for the Democrats to have an obvious victor...

Wonder what would have happened in Iowa if Edwards' love affair had been front page news then? how many of his supporters would have jumped for Hillary instead of Obama? Would we have a different president if Obama hadn't won Iowa?

Bet so

the oprah thread makes this golden oldie more topical.
drudge at the time tried to tilt the election. seriously.
