Hardball: Chris Matthews wants 1 hour with Dr Paul

Straight from his mouth, went something like "I would love to have him for one hour to discuss the Barry Goldwater republican"

Guys. We need to inform HQ about this. He does like him, or it seems he does !!

Matthews is a die-hard liberal. He'll never support Ron Paul.

He is also a hopeless political junkie. It's what really excites him. Look at that weird book he just wrote with some awful title like "Life Is A Campaign". Yeow. Hence, his interest in an insurgent campaign that goes not just against the grain of the establishment neoconned Democrat candidates but even against the hardcore neoconservative GOP candidates.

Matthews can't resist something that taboo any more than a crack whore could resist a little of their "white candy".

1-hour is really tough guys! Because in reality it takes a whole day of campaigning away. In case you haven't notices Ron is very conservative with his money to, so flying out to these studios, getting prepped, and flying back is an all day thing. The schedule is continually being fleshed out to what is most going to get us votes. These guys who want these interviews need to go to Paul not the other way around. The campaign knows it's bigger than the MSM. We as the people need to act that way. I still refuse to turn them on whether they have him on the show or not.

I disagree somewhat.

They can do a sattelite feed.

Plus, IF both studios - Glen Beck and Hardball are in the same city - two birds with one stone. Also, one has to consider where the View is located.

I don't know guys. How much would it cost to inform 4 million poeple on your message? Is that worth a day or two to you? Rather than spending that money on ads?

quick email/phone call to HQ !

LOL! As soon as I heard him say it, my phone was dialing...I told the guy, "Just so you are aware, Chris Matthews just said he wants Ron Paul on for an hour, so your emails are going to be full and phones are about to start ringing."

Appearing on Hardball for a full hour in addition to two full hours with Glenn Beck would give this campaign a serious shot in the arm.

"Matthews is a die-hard liberal. He'll never support Ron Paul."

No. Like Cafferty, he is a Paul supporter. RP NEEDS to do this!

Matthews won't support RP, but he'll certainly be more sympathetic than the Faux News hacks.

It wasn't really an invite, just a "oh I'd love to do an hour with him..."

I've seen Chris Matthews on Bill Maher talking about Ron Paul favorably.

This is a MUCH better opportunity than Blenn Geck.

I don't understand. Why are people afraid of Paul being interviewed by people that hold different views? It makes absolutely no sense for Paul to deny these requests.

Well Hardball is a much better outlet than Beck. Ron Paul is now in the position where he can be a bit more picky about which shows he goes on. I think "The View" is awesome. I think Hardball is also great. Ron Paul does well with tough questions when he is given time to answer them.

Campaign, work it into your schedule sometime IMO.

I think Chris Matthews is a fair guy. I disagree with him politically on most things, but I've never seen him try to railroad anyone. I'd love to see the good Dr. on his show.

If RP doesn't do Chris Matthews or Glenn Beck there is a good reason and it would have nothing to do with HQ dropping the ball. It means RP knows traps are being laid for him. Are ya all not paying attention to all the hit pieces or what? RP is under attack so maybe, just maybe, they don't want to go into the lions den. Don't be ragging on HQ if it doesn't happen.

Matthews is a good guy, I use to watch him all the time. Ron Paul should do his show. And the View definently.

But Glenn Beck is kind of a tough situation. We don't work at his show, we don't know if he edits his show like O'Reilly does. It could be difficult.
