Glenn Beck - We Need To Unite With Obama.

You think we should unite with Obama?? What about our principles? What about liberty and peace?

Well let's take Peace first. You like having a say in your government? Well, after 9/11 the majority of the people wanted some kind of justice. And even the world recognized we deserved to get us some payback after that attack. Now, we don't know-from Letters of Marque. And we don't have that kind of Army, unless you want to hire it out to Blackwater. Those are your fucking choices dude!

NO ONE blamed us for going off to kick some ass. We all know what happened after that. The Republican in Chief became terrorist in chief, didn't he? Yeah, Clinton had bombed Iraq because Bush 41 never finished the job, but Bush43 was going to finish it. Do I have it right so far? Peace is Obama. As I've said before, you don't just declare peace ... it would be too dangerous for WE THE PEOPLE serving in the military. It has to be an orderly withdrawal. I'll tackle Liberty next.

Liberty is a bit of a land mine around here because of the conspiracy theories running rampant. Let's just say that nobody would have done Liberty like Ron Paul. That said, there are some harsh political realities in the world that are not easy choices. Barack will get us out of Iraq. Not easy. Barack will win the war with the Taliban. Not easy considering it was equated in the minds of EVERYONE with "The War On Terror" (which we all know its not). But one has to get elected to change anything.

The biggest drain on us financially is all the war. Common sense would have been to raise taxes. Bush did not and that is one time NOT raising taxes hurt us. Normally I'm against taxes! But Bush made right wrong, left right, and up down. We have to turn it all around. Still! Obama is cutting taxes. You are pissed because Obama won't kill the FED. Won't kill the IRS. Won't kill the Pentagon Budget. No responsible president would do that in these times. Ron Paul's proposed changes wouldn't even begin to take effect while in his first term! But you expect MORE from Barack?

Barack is an establishment guy. There's no doubting it. That doesn't make him evil, it just makes him NOT JESUS. Well guess what? Ron is not establishment and he's still NOT JESUS so get over it. These are problems that only a down and dirty politician can solve. I certainly would not want to have that stupid job. You couldn't pay me enough! I still can't figure out why Ron wanted that dirty job. Anyway, Barack is going to bring back your Liberty that Bush stole from you with all those signing statements first thing. Next he'll tackle the Patriot Act. And you are going to pay less in taxes if you make less than 200k.

Yes we need to support him ... but we need to be vigilant and keep in contact with our Representatives to make sure too much time doesn't get in the way of the change we need.

When are people going to realize that NONE of these corporate media whores are on our side.

Heeey... Tucker hasn't let us down yet! Nor has Napolitano!

Oh.... Right... -- and Stossel!

Glenn Beck is right. Obama is the next President and there is no point in attacking him until he actually does something wrong. If you listened to what he said you would know that he said we need to unite because this country has serious problems that need to be addressed. He also said that he would stand in opposition to Obama if (when) it becomes necessary. He never said that we need to help Obama push through his Marxist agenda. We don't even know if Obama will even be a radical leftist yet (I'll place bets though).

Unfortunately many people here think that unless someone is pushing a pure libertarian agenda they need to be destroyed. Lets wait and see what Obama does. If he's only as bad as Clinton then we will survive.

The problem is that if/when it becomes necessary to stand in opposition to Obama, it will be too late to do so without consequences.

Absolutely correct. Michael Smerconish endorsed Obama proudly on his radio show serving greater Philadelphia. I don't think PA would have gone McCain had he not, but still, for someone to claim to be all about the principles of the founder to come out and worship the New Messiah is just proof that these media whores are just that.

Now is not the time to fall in line and cooperate with the coordinated financial, social, and political raping of the American People. Now is the time to resist as strongly as possible the radical and immoral ideals of this new leftist regime.

When Hugo Chavez came to power, the people loved him. He was their Obama. He was going to make everything better. Do you know what Venezuelans are saying now? "WTF?!?!"

What we have here is no different. We have a marxist social party taking over the United States, promising everything will be better. Once the government owns all of the banks (which is well on its way to happening), and own the rest of the means of production, it will be all over.

Totally agreed, Ehidle. Welcome to the forum! :)

I think it is wrong to smear and condemn a person any time, and that we will win more hearts and minds sticking to the issues rather than speculating on what BO's unstated objectives are, or predicting what he will fail at.

For example, the 'Not my President' T-shirts are a little OTT and hostile to be used at this time, in my opinion. However, there is still plenty of grist for the mill in criticizing his staff and Cabinet appointments based on their records, and arguing against planks in his campaign that are unconstitutional.

There is no way I'm going to go along with such things as his national service bondage 'just to see if it works'.

seems glenn has changed his opinion real quick like since signing with the White House Chan...i mean FOX News Channel.

Excellent point. It is the neoconservative philosophy. There's no real reason for the neocons *not* to support Obama.

You are in dreamland. Obama MAY get us partially out of Iraq in a year or more, but even then, he will leave a huge military presence there at the many bases built in Iraq. Obama WILL get us into another war. Count on it.

Nor will he bring our troops home from the over 130 countries in which we now have a military presence.

The biggest drain on us financially is all the war. Common sense would have been to raise taxes. Bush did not and that is one time NOT raising taxes hurt us. Normally I'm against taxes! No, the responsible thing to do would have been not to attack a country which had nothing to do with 9-11.

Obama does not recognize the need to cut back the size of the federal government to its Constitutional level. Nor does he recognize the role the Federal Reserve has in our economic turmoil. If one does not even recognize the problems, they sure as hell are not going to fix them.

Next he'll tackle the Patriot Act. And you are going to pay less in taxes if you make less than 200k.

You are also in dreamland that Obama will return our liberty. Obama VOTED to REAUTHORIZE THE PATRIOT ACT. Why on earth do you think he will try to get it rescinded? The Dems had control of the Congress for the last 2 years. Did you notice them rescinding the Patriot Acts, or the Military Commission Act, or anything else for that matter? Hell no, you didn't. The wonderful Democratic Congress also passed a resolution for IRAN to hand the power over to the President to bomb the crap out of them at his whim, JUST LIKE THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY DONE WITH IRAQ.

So, suffice it to say, I think you have your head in the clouds to believe that Barack "The One" Obama will do anything to return our liberty to us. Actually, if one really listens to what he has been saying, we will lose many more liberties.

Yes we need to support him ... but we need to be vigilant and keep in contact with our Representatives to make sure too much time doesn't get in the way of the change we need.

YOU need to go check your facts and pull your head out ....................

Thanks Liberty Eagle!

You know, some of you people are really baffling me right now. I mean, you've gotta be kidding me!!

I've long suspected that the Cuban government might be hiding the fact that Fidel Castro has been dead for a couple years now (just conjecture) ...but now I have proof, since we've just elected his reincarnation to the Presidency!!! :D

Seriously... Of the crimes of statism, collectivism, armed robbery, murder, negligence, and corruption, all politicians should be considered guilty until proven innocent. 'Cuz I'll be damned if I’m one of the people who gave Stalin the benefit of the doubt.

Relax, There is still a posibility we won't have to watch GB kiss BO's hand...

Ron Paul can still become POTUS after the EC votes for him on 12/15/08.

Seems to me, that railing immediately about Obama, on the day after his election, would be percieved as ranting, and the ranter will lose credibility. Everyone will just say "Obama is now EVERYONE's president, let's hope he does good for the country".

After he is in office, THEN is the time attack his socialist policies, or his interventionism. And then your attacks seem more credible, with the perception that you gave him a chance.

He's only going soft to watch his own back, he has to when the dems want to implement the fairness doctrine. He made sure he pushed it hard before Obama got elected so when he is president he wouldint have to emphasize it that much.

I don't give a crap about anybody's perceptions of me anymore... (with respect to this sort of thing, I should say.) If anybody hasn't seen by now that Obama is a radical communist, I'm not going to waste my time trying to find the "tact" or whatever else to convince them.

I'm sick of this. It's not audacity of hope time. It's duck and cover time.

We have one party rule in this country and the talking heads know it. Unite with Obama, because he is the leader of the one party. It's like Hillary Clinton talking about uniting with Obama and healing after she lost the primary.

1. Obama has already committed many crimes. What is there to wait for? Is his slate magically wiped clean because he is going to be the President?

2. Obama is in almost complete opposition to peace, so there is no point in bringing up that deception-based view.

Israel's military action last year "was entirely justified," Obama said, to knock out Syria's "weapons of mass destruction" program. "The danger from Iran is grave, it is real, and my goal will be to eliminate this threat," he added.

Obama's Promise Of More War
American liberals can't quite face the fact that if their man does win in November, and if he has meant a single serious word he's ever said, it means more war, and more bitter and protracted war at that -- not less.
http://www.slate.com/id/2200134

Obama: Expand the wars -- starting with Pakistan
"The first step must be getting off the wrong battlefield in Iraq, and taking the fight to the terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan."
"So the second step in my strategy will be to build our capacity and our partnerships to track down, capture or kill terrorists around the world."
"... take down terrorist networks from the remote islands of Indonesia, to the sprawling cities of Africa."
http://www.barackobama.com/2007/08/01/the_war_we_need_to_win.php

And et cetera...

In summary, Obama is opposed to freedom, Obama is opposed to non-interventionist foreign policy, and Glenn Beck has, beyond all doubt, exposed himself as a complete fraud*.

* Assuming he sincerely believes what is claimed.

As Some RPFers Would Say...

Glenn Beck is on right now saying, "we need to unite with Obama. This nation needs to heal. He is my president for the next 4 years." Also, "stop with the birth certificate thing...the courts have already 'looked into it.'"

"YouTube, or it didn't happen." :D

Wait, you agree with him WHERE?

...on uniting with Obama?? (btw were those really his words??)

He's your president now, so live with it. Just like you lived with your past 40 some white Presidents. I didn't vote for Bush but he was my Prez and I lived with it.
