Gary Johnson Gary Johnson at 6% in national poll

If GJ gets 6%, that's good enough as far as I'm concerned. That 6% wins LP ballot access for 2014.
Also, I expect MR to lose to BO (and if GJ wins by 6%, hopefully MR loses to BO by exactly 5%)!

It would be great if the difference in the election is the liberty vote. And if the MSM broadcasts it as such.

"Gary Johnson Files Anti-Trust Lawsuit To Get Into Presidential Debates"

"Breaking news! The Gov. Gary Johnson/Judge Jim Gray Campaign has filed an antitrust lawsuit against the Democrats, Republicans, & the Commission on Presidential Debates for antitrust and anticompetitive acts. The voters deserve competition!" - Jim Gray, 2012 Libertarian Party Vice Presidential Nominee (Facebook).

Maybe Gary and Jim may have a chance to Debate! There's still hope!

I am a bit suspicious of a national poll where "won't vote" gets so little a percent.
We’ll start with the poll, which was conducted by Reason/Rupe of 1,006 adults, including 787 likely voters who say they “definitely” will vote in the next election.

When asked if they would vote for the Obama-Biden, Romney-Ryan or Johnson-Jim Gray tickets, the results from likely voters were:

Obama/Biden 49%

Romney/Ryan 40%

Johnson/Gray 6%

Vote for Someone Else 1%

Would Not Vote less than 1%

Questionable poll is questionable.

only 787 of the 1006 people said they definitely would vote

Yes, thank you. That leaves several hundred who aren't even 100% sure they will vote... but definitely know who they will vote for?

I assume that these people didn't have a candidate listed that they're voting for?

I was going to say the same thing...I think Gary Johnson is doing better than that and I have been seeing support for the green party around the web too and they do not even mention them.

Anyone actually trust these polls? What a joke.

Nobody ever asked me, anyone at my work or anyone in my family. None of us are voting Romney or Obama

The Commission on Presidential Debates, for one.

We need to demand that the major polling agencies include Gary Johnson in their polls.

Non of these polls include him:

Rasmussen Tracking 9/20 - 9/22 1500 LV 3.0 46 46 Tie
Gallup Tracking 9/16 - 9/22 3050 RV 2.0 48 46 Obama +2
National Journal 9/15 - 9/19 1055 LV 3.0 50 43 Obama +7
Associated Press/GfK 9/13 - 9/17 807 LV 4.3 47 46 Obama +1
Hartford Courant/UConn 9/11 - 9/18 1186 LV 3.0 46 43 Obama +3
Monmouth/SurveyUSA/Braun 9/13 - 9/16 1344 LV 2.7 48 45 Obama +3
NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl 9/12 - 9/16 736 LV 3.6 50 45 Obama +5
Pew Research/PSRAI 9/12 - 9/16 2268 LV 2.4 51 43 Obama +8

Actually, these polls are worth nothing because they use a methodology that isn't true for 95% of voters; presenting the election as a 3 way choice. The fact of the matter is, for most this is a 2 way choice so presenting it as a 3 way choice distorts the results.

If they ride the publicity well, they may be able to gain access just as a result of awareness increasing.

I get the calls, but Johnson is never a choice.

I've NEVER seen a 3rd party included poll publicized. Not once....though I could be proven wrong w/ a tube certainly.

It's a Reason poll. Obviously they included the L party candidate. Their results are almost surely slanted. I want GJ to do well, but I expect between 1 and 2 percent of the popular vote.
